Dell Med does not use a written secondary application, but will screen applicants and offer those they are interested in an invitation to complete a video-response secondary.
Dell only sends secondaries to about 20% of applicants.

Anyone know when to expect any word from Dell? Either being a rejection or invite for secondary (I know only 20% get one)

Take a look at last year’s thread for a general idea. In the past they have sent out small numbers of secondary invitation emails intermittently between June and December!
As I said last year, don’t hold your breath on Dell but treat it like a pleasant surprise if you get one.

I think its more school/mission-relevant questions, just by skimming previous year threads.

Just curious since I might as well prewrite for it just in case, but are you able to view the prompts before recording the video, or is it more like a video interview where you can’t know anything until you record

you get the prompts right before you record, and no do-overs.
They ask you not to share prompts.
They sprinkle their secondaries out over months and months so just carry on with your other schools for now.
 
+1 IS secondary, really excited! My TMDSAS primary was literally verified 5 days ago (7/3) so this is a pleasant surprise. LM 82

Does anyone know if there is anything in particular that we should prepare for with the secondary? Obviously don't share prompts if you've done it but should we just prepare general interview question responses or focus on something in particular?
 
Shocking they are lining up such high numbers for the initial secondaries.

I got a secondary invite as well and I have a 3.5/516 so you definitely shouldn't feel inadequate! There's so much to this process that we aren't aware of, and trying to figure out the rules to the secret game of admissions that adcoms play isn't worth the time or stress that you'd face. It's still incredibly early in the process and like others have said, Dell sends out secondaries in small batches throughout the upcoming weeks so don't freak out! Trust the process and everything will be ok.

Pretty discouraging to see the high stat focus thus far, but I'll remain optimistic.
 
Did anyone who finished the secondary receive some sort of confirmation email? I completed mine today and I got to the end screen, but there was no follow-up.
 
Is it worth finishing the secondary ASAP even though my college hasn't sent out letter packets yet?

I got the secondary invite about a week ago, but have been swamped with my full-time work and 2 online classes I'm taking. I'd rather not do the secondary poorly just because I'm in a rush to complete it.

I think you’re meant to treat it like a secondary, so the 2 week rule still applies.

I think it’s unreasonable for them to expect that ASAP especially because I’d assume there’s the chance they ask you a school specific question (I.e why us)

Yeah, that makes sense. Also, I forgot to include this but my committee letter packet is going to be sent out a week from now. Is there any point completing the rest of my secondary if my letters haven't been received by the med school yet?

my committee letter is also still pending- i think i am just not rushing my process, if i take 15 days instead of 14 days i'm okay with that since the app won't be complete anyway. however just in case a school thinks you're slow or not interested i'mpersonally not delaying submission once i'm happy with the app
 
IS Secondary Received last week. LM 82. I think I bombed the video though, I talked about the same experience multiple times. I've accepted though that Im not getting an II from here. Not too bad though since I intend to harvest several texas IIs.

Secondary is a stepping stone at Dell. they will issue IIs pretty soon, probably in the next week or two.
 
For those that received a secondary, did you get a confirmation email that Dell received your application
