directly from AAMC: "On or before July 7: Applicants must select the Commit to Enroll option in the Choose Your Medical School Tool from AMCAS. Applicants must withdraw all applications from other medical schools."
They usually send a final "application cycle is over" email when orientation begins. A couple years back, someone got taken off the waitlist on maybe the third day of orientation, which can happen when the person who had the seat prior either took a leave of absence, got into a DO school they preferred (separate app service that doesn't communicate with AMCAS), doesn't want to go to med school anymore, or other variety of reasons. Orientation begins early August.

so i asked them what my status was and they said i'm still on the waitlist, but they're accepting all the way until classes start so if there's anything new i had i could email them an update. based off of that i'm assuming they still have spots left/are still actively accepting students but maybe just a bit slower than they were doing so last month

Would have thought this week would be the week that they pull the final people of the waitlist to fill the remaining spots. Hope for some next week, but it also may be over.
