does drexel normally send an email out once all movement is over?

Not very hopeful hopefuldoc... but checking the MSAR application timeline from 4/1 the CTE deadline for Drexel was actually on 7/7. The Drexel site said 6/30 but may have been outdated. We may still see some movement!

directly from AAMC: "On or before July 7: Applicants must select the Commit to Enroll option in the Choose Your Medical School Tool from AMCAS. Applicants must withdraw all applications from other medical schools."

They usually send a final "application cycle is over" email when orientation begins. A couple years back, someone got taken off the waitlist on maybe the third day of orientation, which can happen when the person who had the seat prior either took a leave of absence, got into a DO school they preferred (separate app service that doesn't communicate with AMCAS), doesn't want to go to med school anymore, or other variety of reasons. Orientation begins early August.

Not sure how representative it is but facebook group is still at 276 members as of right now, meaning 20-40 spots could still be available. There seems to have not been much movement the past few days so maybe another wave of acceptances coming soon?? Trying to stay positive.

so i asked them what my status was and they said i'm still on the waitlist, but they're accepting all the way until classes start so if there's anything new i had i could email them an update. based off of that i'm assuming they still have spots left/are still actively accepting students but maybe just a bit slower than they were doing so last month

Would have thought this week would be the week that they pull the final people of the waitlist to fill the remaining spots. Hope for some next week, but it also may be over.

Probably a few more spots but I'd imagine its over by this point... seems like a lot less july movement this year which is really unfortunate. Good luck to all of you in reapps, hopefully next cycle isn't as rough for us.
