2024-2025 Emory

I called them and they said that there were no decisions for the feb 24th and that it was a mistake. Decisions would only come on the 10th
A mistake? Multiple people on interview day told us decisions would be coming on the 24th, it isn't like they made a typo. Feel like they should have let us know about that

for anyone who interviewed recently, did they mention if there’s a chance that final As will be mailed this week?

I can’t remember 100% so don’t quote me on this but I believe yes. My understanding is that March 10 was the day for rejections and waitlists but that As could come earlier.

So I missed a call last Tuesday from a 404 number labeled "EMORY", but they didn't leave a voicemail and didn't pick up when I called/left a VM. Was I just prank called? Did anyone else get a call? I interviewed in October and haven't heard anything so idk what to make of this

As far as what I remember them saying on interview day, acceptances are snail mailed and updated in the portal, but that's it. No acceptance phone calls from Emory

do we have any idea how many people have been accepted already? i hope they are not going to over-accept like they did last year, when they could not accept anybody off of the waitlist. sincerely, someone who was waitlisted by Emory last year and is anticipating another WL 😢
I got the chance to talk with admissions a little more about this, and apparently what happened last year is that they accepted pretty much exactly the number that they have in previous years, but the problem was almost no one rescinded their acceptance. So this year they're being much more careful and sending out acceptances more slowly, and less of them overall. My guess would be they're only accepting close to their class size, at least until they have a better picture of how many people accept their acceptance
