One great thing about FIU is that we have the opportunity to rotate at many hospital all throughout South Florida. IMO, this has provided me with really well-rounded experiences of different hospital systems/people/EMR etc. However, as FIU merges with a prominent hospital in South Florida, it is likely that students may be rotating at their locations more often.
 
Hi! Can someone clarify when interview invites are sent out? Their website says their interview season is from August - March. Does that mean they begin sending interview invites in July or in August?

Hi all, I know interviews are starting next week. I will be doing mock interviews, private message me if you are interested. I was accepted here last cycle with a scholarship.

The interviewers were friendly but they legit read questions off of a piece of paper. It was not very conversational because of that, but it also didn’t feel like an interrogation because of the friendly vibes. The questions were all like long, 3-part questions too so it was hard to remember if I hit every part during my answers lmao.

All in all not bad if you are prepared, but not my favorite.
 
Does anyone know if applications are pre-screend before the secondaries are sent?
