didn’t specifically say merit and I have pretty mid stats so I’m not sure. But they offered $25k so pretty substantial chunk of tuition
Thanks appreciate your quick response. Following your posts, it appears you go this scholarship after being waitlisted and perhaps contacting the office. Did you have to apply for this scholarship separately, have to complete FAFSA beforehand as a requirement , or was it just given to you without application, on coming off the waitlist ? BTW, congratulations on your scholarship !

Thank you! I filled out FAFSA when it opened up back in December, and it stated all scholarships require FAFSA being filled out. I interviewed late (March) was waitlisted, then accepted 2 weeks ago. I had another scholarship offer so I reached out to see if they’d match it. They said no, so this must be just a separate offer based on my application and extracurriculars I think.

Thanks! that was helpful information, perhaps for a lot of other applicants here too !
Good luck future Doc wherever you decide to go for Med School !

From an older doc who will retire in perhaps 5 years time.

OOS WL A to Peoria campus yesterday 5/15. Do anyone know if this means that my prereqs are already completed/when would we find that info out?

I actually have a friend who got into yesterday so excited for her! She was wondering if there’s a group chat for the Chicago campus?
