I am applying for 2025-2026 and I was wondering if are any current students who could give some real insight on their experience as students at Meharry. In regards to administration, support, classes, professors, resources, financial assistance, funding opportunities, etc. I would appreciate it!

I wonder if they’re gonna do the same thing as last year where they started giving out interviews last minute and expedited. It doesn’t seem like they accepted a lot of people

What have they been doing the whole cycle lol. I also don’t know why they extended their secondary deadline before getting back to everyone who submitted theirs way before

They mentioned that they’re system needed to be updated or something like that, so I’m guessing they didn’t see all the people who submitted their secondaries until they update at which point they had already given out more secondaries
 
the new msar data for meharry has me scared ****less 😂. I wasn’t tripping before lol, but now I am. They usually interview 200, last year they interviewed 300+. So really curious as to what happend there. My guess was they under enrolled and had to mass spam ii past April? Also noticed the stat requirements increased too.
 
The only thing I’m wondering is why this chat isn’t active this cycle. Meharry has always been one of my top choice MD programs. I’ve been following meharrys SDN forums since I was in undergrad and they are usually popping? And the group me only has like 15 ppl in it. Usually by now it has about 75. And of course group me isn’t always the most reputable way to gauge how full the class size is as some students don’t use group me etc but c’mon 15? Have they just not admitted that much ppl this year? Did not that many people apply? Or are they just being extremely intentional this cycle. They usually are intentional in that they only interview 236 candidates and accept 115. But with the dialogue of this thread I can’t help but feel like they interviewed less? Does this have anything to do with their accreditation issues? Or is this about them being put on probation by the AAMCs? All in all just praying for the best for everyone in this chat.

I’m just as confused. I interviewed almost 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard anything back. They seem very disorganized this cycle.

yea i haven't heard back since my interview in march. I was told by my interviewer that they meet every Monday to discuss applicants. They also told me its a quick turnaround time and that about 20 of the ~100+ offers they've sent have committed... so if u havent heard back from them the best u can get is an acceptance hold which means you will be accepted if the other students don't commit. The other 2 options is waitlist and rejection.

This is so helpful to hear 😭. Ok so at least we know where we are at.
 
So if we interviewed in March are we late in the game? Has anyone heard back from their interview in March? I also finished interviewing towards the end of last month
 
Haven’t been caught up with this thread, but can we say our chance of even getting an interview by now is slim? This is one of the last two schools I’ve applied to that I haven’t heard back for an interview.

Really having an existential crises after getting rejected from Charles R. Drew, which is my only MD interview for this cycle. Cycle has been chewing me apart.

Wondering the same especially with their last minute screw up of missed secondaries that they needed to update late in the cycle :/

No 🙁 I'm guessing they are doing it one by one??? They made it seem like it was going to be a mass wave of decisions. But it might be rolling. I interviewed months ago, early Feb, and I haven't heard back...

Crazy thing is their orientation is in a month 💀
 
anyone know if the class is full yet? Haven’t seen any movement here in a while
