Everybody knows goats run dis country.

Sure, humans think it's their farms. Their fences. Their gardens. Their garbage cans. Dat's adorable. Truth is, nothin' happens on dis mountain unless the herd says it happens. Need a fence knocked down? A flower bed "redecorated"? Somebody's prize tomatoes mysteriously disappearin' in the middle of the night? Ey... accidents happen.

For years, the families kept the peace. Everybody got their share of clover, everybody respected the peckin' order, an' nobody asked too many questions.

But lately... somebody's been breakin' the code.

Goats are disappearin'. Trusted faces are startin' to look a little too trustworthy. Every "Maaaa" sounds rehearsed. Every pair of horns could be hidin' a backstabber.

Somewhere in the herd, there's a crew lookin' to take over the city.

An' if the rest-a you don't figure out who dey are...

Fuggedaboutit.

Rules and Participation Requirements

1. Most importantly: this is a game and is meant to be fun. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Players resorting to personal attacks will be removed from gameplay without warning. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Examples of behavior we do not tolerate: name calling (e.g. “shorty is being a b****”), calling other players’ play poor/bad/subpar, or personal attacks even if they're true (such as "shorty is an insufferable toddler," "for someone with a "best reads" gif in your signature, your reads are trash"). Excessive AtE (i.e. threatening to quit playing the game forever) or game throwing (i.e. deciding endgame isn't for you and that you won't be participating) will also not be tolerated and may earn you a sign up ban from my games in the future.

Please note that calling someone a wolf or wolfy is not a personal attack.

We understand that emotions can run high when you're literally accused of murder and lying about it, but we have a ZERO tolerance policy for personal attacks, excessive appeals to emotion (this includes whining about how you will never play again if people continue asking you questions, etc.), or open hostility. If you show worse emotional regulation than SAR's toddler, you will receive a whack over the head with a shovel that will remove you from the game and may face restrictions in signing up for future shorty games. Please be adults and regulate yourselves. Take a break from the thread if you feel yourself getting upset. Your role PMs are available for judgment-free venting.

2. Cycles will close at 9 PM EDT. If I am not around to lock the thread, please STOP posting at the time of cycle close until a mod posts the final tally. Nights will be open, with a brief locked period while I get flavor and flip posted from the day cycle.

3. Do not discuss the game outside of the thread or your role PM. Do not open PMs with other players. There may be mechanics for PMs in this game, but PMing willy-nilly is not allowed.

4. Please participate. We spent a lot of time building this game and by signing up, you have committed to play it. There will not be specific participation requirements this game, but if we feel you are slanking, you will get notified in your role PM. If it continues, you will be forcesubbed or modkilled, pending the depth of the sub list at that time.

5. Dead players: please keep your on-thread posts to a minimum, and if you do post, please do so in ******stars******. Please do not react to strategy posts in the game once you are dead. Same goes for sidecars, tots and subs - please do not react to strategy posts at all.

6. Ties will be resolved through mass execution. Now that you all know I'm serious about that, hopefully you won't test it.

7. Please do not quote, screenshot, or copy/paste from your mod PM. Please don’t fake quotes, screenshots, or copy/pastes from a mod PM either.

8. Editing posts is permitted, but do not delete them. Remember to unvote if you are changing your vote.

I can see if you delete a post, so don't try to be sneaky about it. #sitemod

9. Votes must be formatted in bold or #########surrounded by octothorpes#########. Please make the mods’ lives easier by not hiding your vote in a wall of text. Please use the terms “vote” or “yeet” when placing your vote. In mayoral elections, please use the terms "vote" or "elect."

10. Do not discuss or share night results before the night write-up is posted. Strategizing between vote closing and write up is permitted, including for the person voted out. Discussing night results prior to write-up posting will get you whipped, and not in the good way.

11. If you require a sub due to unavoidable circumstances, please contact the mods in your role PM, and do not discuss it on the thread.

12. We frown upon the use of village code and angleshooting. It will not help you. All roles and their associated affiliations were randed.

13. Unless otherwise stated in your role PM, actions cannot be used on the same person on consecutive nights.

14. Please indicate that you have read through the rules and agree to abide by them by angery reacting this post.

Every respectable operation needs a Boss.

Call 'em Mayor if dat makes the paperwork easier, but everybody knows who's really runnin' tings around here. Somebody's gotta keep the herd in line, settle disputes, an' make sure nobody's skimming clover off the top.

Today's vote will be to elect your Mayor.

Once the Boss is in place, real family business can begin.

Now get out dere an' make your case. An' remember...

hum I'm realizing I did favorite champions for the champs practice game, so there could be some overlap.

Maybe I should clarify it doesn't have to be sports-related. For example, one could nominate honey mustard as the GOAT condiment 🙂
