This thread is for discussing applications to Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in the 2024-2025 (class of 2029 hopefuls) cycle.
No we do not need CASPR this year!Hey do we need the casper for this auburn application cycle?
I think these courses literally mean any history class covering content from these time periods and any English class covering content from these time periods. So literally any English or history course possibly? Unless I’m reading it wrong but I also think If you’ll complete a bachelors degree these requirements are covered by that2nd time applicant here! Did they change their pre-reqs? I am not remembering this whole deal with the history and literature sequence.
"A six-hour sequence is required in either literature or history. For example:
US History from 1649 – 1800
US History from 1800 – Present
English Literature from 1066 – 1500
OR
English Literature from 1066 – 1500
English Literature from 1500 – 1600
US History from 1800 – Present"
Maybe I blacked out last year, but, I do NOT meet this requirement and I really don't remember it being a problem. I have TONS of humanities courses but, nothing this specific. Anyone else relate?
Are we for sure suppose to hear something that day?December 20th seems so far away
December 20th seems so far away
As far as I know, no exact date has been given for when interview decisions will be sent out. Last cycle, interviews were extended on 12/14, roughly a week after final exams. For this cycle, December 20th will be roughly a week after final exams, so it could potentially be around that date. Unfortunately, all I know for sure is that it will be sometime in December, and the wait is definitely brutal. 😅Where did we hear December 20th?
All I’ve gotten is an email on 9/29 saying they received all my application materials.Has anyone had any communication from Auburn since submitting VMCAS? Just want to make sure I’m not missing something.
I am not 100% sure, but I think it is 90.Does anybody know how many in-state people they usually interview?
It's scheduled for March 1st!Does anyone know when Auburn typically does their accepted students day? I know it's around Feb/Mar
Their flyer they handed out to us when they came to visit said the 15th. I thought Sunday was odd too but we will see!Ooo!! why do you think tomorrow? On a Sunday?
Do you remember the date they sent interviews for your class?Hi friends. First year at Auburn here. I know the waiting can be absolutely brutal and the VMCAS cycle is super long, but do try to relax and enjoy the holidays coming up!
Also happy to answer any questions about what AUCVM has been like (so far), and good luck!!
Hopefully this Friday maybe?Does anyone have any idea when we should hear back?
