AVC/UPEI c/o 2025 Applicants

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Congratulations those who have received good news! Anyone else heard?

Just tell me I’m rejected already so I can finally commit to finding housing at Purdue 😂😭

Was placed on the waiting list. Does anyone know how it works, or what the odds are getting accepted once placed on the list. NS applicant

Congrats! I was on the waiting list last year so I know a little bit about it. Each pool has their own alternate list- so you will only have a chance if an accepted NS student defers or declines their offer. They dont give any information on the length of the list, but I dont think it is very long! From my experience though, domestic lists don't move around a lot unfortunately :/

I was in the PEI pool though so maybe someone who is a NS applicant has a better idea of the chances!

Hey there, I'm a Newfoundlander and I didn't get in this year, but I just recieved my PEI residency.

For those who got in, especially from PEI, do you mind sharing your academic average?

Btw, congrats to those who recieved acceptance letters. And to those who didn't get in, don't give up, there is always next year!

I’m a PEI resident (but originally from Newfoundland as well!), got in last year with a mid 80 average. I didn’t even get an interview as a Newfoundland resident with that average, but got in on my first try as a PEI resident! The pools are very different, but of course can also vary a lot from year to year.

Awesome! Thank you for your input and reassurance. I feel alot more confident now that I'm a resident of PEI.

I was just wondering if there were any NLers who recently went over their application with Tracy? I had a call with her yesterday and am feeling kind of discouraged. I found out that my grades were too low and now need to replace a few courses.
Did she happen to say what the cut off was?
