I find it a little sketchy that RM pushed for STL to out the seer results. I mean, I get it because it does (theoretically, if STL is legit) tell us who NOT to lynch, but in light of what everyone else is saying it doesn't make sense. Whether it be because there are conversions or because the wolves will kill the "confirmed" villagers to increase uncertainty, I think it's more beneficial to us if STL/WZ keeps the results quiet unless there is an urgent situation.

Lack of agreement with the party line or advocating for discussion isn't a sketch move.

"Basic" doesn't equal simple in the context of this game. It is more what roles are original to the game vs. which have been added over time.

I agree, and that's not what I meant to say. I just thought that the specific action of pushing for the seering results was slightly questionable, not the fact that you disagreed with things that other people were saying as part of a discussion. I see how what I wrote could've been interpreted that way. I apologize!
 
Usually after a big reveal discussion grinds to a halt. Things seemed to be trending towards leaving STL and not getting the seer results, so it doesn't look like WTF's move was a diversion tactic.

Yes I am the wolf seer. But I had about as successful game as I wanted. Honestly, I was hoping this game was no wolf seer, no villager seer. I have accomplished removal of both. Yea, you think you still have the protector. But I idiot savanted last night and seered the protector. And the tracker outed herself on the thread for those who didn't catch it. Aka, we will be going into a game with no seers at all, and you will have to rely on your wits alone. And protector, it really doesn't matter who you protect tonight as you are just going to be blocked, as you will be until we are done taking out anyone with seering capabilities.

Wolves, in case WTF isn't the seer and this was a great plot by Rojo to cover up that he is, just take him out after please (with the way he has been framing the argument and doing the whole, like something on the first two pages, etc.)

Doubting everything he's claiming to know right now. Strikes me as a classic move to get villagers with roles to out themselves on thread for other wolves to see.
 
Catching up:
I know this line of thinking is not popular here, but in live play WW there is a strategy that basically requires the villagers to give out as much information as possible. Often the protector keeps silent but seers announce themselves and all results. This makes it impossible for wolves to pretend to be one of those roles and the protector has pretty good odds of being able to protect important roles from the beginning. All info from the seers can be analyzed and if anything changes, you can pretty easily spot a conversion.

The biggest complaints against this mode of play are:

1) It is different from business as usual

2) It can make games go too quickly

3) Some people say it is less fun because it increases odds in favor of the villagers so far that the wolves really, really have to work not to get caught. (In real life, the sweat and nerves are visible on some wolves when they realize what play style they are facing.)

But, as I said, I know it is not popular here, people like their secrecy. Also I've only really seen it used in real life games. It is very possible that wolves can hide easier here where we can't watch them squirm.

And after that revelation:

I need to reread all of yesterday. I knew something was going on behind the scenes, but couldn't figure out which was suspicious and which was trying to tell us something. I am curious about whether or not one player will turn up villager, but not enough to point a finger over this info.

At this point, any info you give will be analyzed but assumed to likely be false. Even in lies there is something to learn though, so whatever makes you happy.

The more you tell us the more we have to pick apart. That is good and bad for both sides.

Guess the thing that will kinda suck about this day cycle is there's not much to discuss. Thanks for taking one for the team, WTF. Hope we have a protector.

I don't know if there's ever a best time to share a role. It can vary by game or your situation. Had there been PMing in this game, it could have prevented WTF from outting herself because she could have passed the info that she was the seer to someone she trusted. STL "revealed" his in order to avoid being lynched , which is another common option. If you've got a good role claim, and it's something the bulk of the other players don't want to get rid of , you can sway them to change their votes.

Well that sucks. Protector must have been taking the night off.
 
I'm conflicted about rojo.


He's one of the usual suspects and is often looked into early in games and knows this. If he's a villager and wanted stl to clear him it's understandable. Him asking the supposed village seer (at the time) fairly overtly probably wasn't missed by anyone.

But stl is revealed to be the wolf seer and goes on to spread lies/information that rojo might actually have a role if is going to prevent the villagers from pursuing him too hard so we don't lose another roled person.

I also think stl was totally making stuff up saying that they know who the protector and/or tracker are. If they'd known that they would have killed that person N1 instead of sandy.

I'm sure STL told a mixture of truth and lies like he did in the Pokemon game when he was being lynched. My guess is he lied about seering the protector, and I'm wondering if there is one this game as surely they should have protected wtf last night.
 
I know it was a short day cycle yesterday because of the majority vote. I'm wondering if people lost their abilities for failing to hit the post count for the day
 
Dang. Didn't have cell service on my backpacking trip yesterday, at least the wolf seer is dead but that sucks about the village seer.
 
I wanted to comment yesterday that we don't use the like button strategically enough... Wtf like my lynch vote of stl from like 6 pages earlier and I think I could have led to STL being lynched without the reveal... But no use crying over split milk

Are you flipping kidding me? What wolf would have knowingly lead the charge for the wolf seer? I mean, I'm ballsy and bold at times, but I don't see how anyone can think me a wolf based on my play towards STL.

His post was implying that maybe I was the seer (which I clearly am not) and that if wtf isn't the seer (which she was) then it was probably me.

If I find out the protector protected themselves over wtf...

Now, if they did seer the protector and then blocked them last night, that can also explain the successful wtf kill.

I was going to say something along this line too. The wolf seer is way too important for the wolves for a fellow wolf to suggest or throw that wolf under the bus.

I really don't think jojo is a wolf based upon him going after STL. I could be wrong, but I have doubts that he is a wolf.

Were you just busy and couldn't get on? I definitely understand that. Wish WTF had liked some of my posts, I was around and would have noticed and probably been able to pull off a lynch of STL without her revealing. Can't change it now, so no use in getting upset over that.

Though I do wonder what happened to the protector... guessing that they either just didn't protect WTF or that they were blocked. Hopefully not the former one, but definitely possible. I guess there could also not be a protector but I would find that to be very odd.

I doubt that happened, WTF outed herself. clearly she would have been the next target, so the protector would have most definitely protected her. Maybe they weren't online at the time

We only just passed night 2 right? So wouldn't STL only have had one nights worth of information seered before he got lynched? So would only know about one person... Unlikely the roles they were looking for.
