I rarely donate in political campaigns . I think I donated maybe $10 to Obama. This cycle is different. I've donated faaaarrr greater amount to the Biden/Harris/Walz campaign this cycle. I will be so glad when this election season is over.

Universities are not nearly as influential as you think, and their influence has been in severe decline probably since Dubya, Palin, and the populist rise of skepticism of intellectuals, experts, etc in the right wing. Not to mention, only like 30% of American have a college degree.
As far as the rest of the media, your mention of Hollywood is specious- nobody takes their political cues *from* then. They just happen to lean liberal like most coastal people.

My ethos is truth and I think I've got a pretty good handle on things. I have no agenda, I am just curious, inquisitive and have a thirst for knowledge. I do not have it 100% down yet but I know I am going down the right path. Leftists, on the other hand, see untruth and call it truth. Just like how they call themselves liberal but are illiberal down in their core. A person who lives by contradiction can not see straight. This is why you think I am missing the message. Ted Nugent or Kid Rock can do the same thing for Trump if they want to.
Not sure how election laws over in-kind contributions treat this. I don't think it's a political contribution if the concert is held after the election on the condition their preferred candidate wins. Maybe someone smarter knows more about this.
I don't think it would have been a violation if the Obama campaign had coordinated with Beyonce prior to her playing for his inauguration, same for Trump and Toby Keith. I assume Swift's potential performances would be treated similarly. Not to mention, she could subsequently decide NOT to hold the concerts.

I totally get your point. But I wouldn't call her a simple girl. She is a master at marketing and writes songs that reach young girls and women about the mistakes they make in their lives. She has a massive following and is imo, the most influential entertainer on the planet. Personally, I don't understand why an entertainer would choose to alienate nearly half of their fan,(revenue), base. I guess when you are Uber wealthy, you can be that way.
