Buffalo email "Continuing Review"

Did anyone get the email saying that no decision can be made on your application and is under "continuing review" for Buffalo? Has anyone this cycle got the same message and was invited a month or two later?

I got an email from them stating they were reviewing my application and I would be hearing a response within 2-4 weeks. Are you talking about something after that? Right now, I'm only in the 2nd week.

I got that email back in late august. The continuing review one.

I personally have no expectation of landing an interview based on past trends.

I spoke too soon. Just got this email today from BU. I've been placed under continuing review...


Guess that means its pretty much over right?

I emailed them asking about it and they said they looked at least my app twice lol, so it's not looking good. They did say they will interview through Feb. and later if need be.

I got this too. I tried looking this up in past threads to see if there was any hope. Most of them said that this was better than a rejection and said to not give up hope. From what I saw, only 1 or 2 of those put on "Continuing Review" were actually invited for interview, but they were early applicants and got a status change in Oct. for a pre-Dec invite. There may be a slight chance that others just neglected to update after receiving a status change (I'm reaching, I know).

We could be optimistic because we're not rejected yet. We could assume that Buffalo's adcom likes us enough to reconsider us when they're able to invite more applicants. My only hope is that they are only just waiting until after Dec. 1st to see which applicants are left and how many seats they have available.

Or...... They aren't exactly interested in us enough to want to meet us at first glance. Chances of them suddenly loving us on second review? 🙁 Not too great.

I got into UB SDM on December 1st this year; however, I got on continuing review list last year and did not get an interview. I don't know if this is typical.

I got an email at the beginning of December, stating that they have everything and will be reviewing my application and that I will receive written notice in 3-4 weeks. I got an interview invite via email the very next day.
