C/O 2019 Applicants

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Sooooo, I am starting to get super nervous about possibly having to reapply...

I have interviewed at 2 schools so far and both seem to interview quite a lot of people. (Iowa and LMU). I also have an interview in February with MS, but it looks like it may be my last interview seeing as how most of the other schools have already sent out their invites.I feel like my interviews went really good. In fact I feel that I answered every question quite efficiently. I am just worried that after all this I may still not get one acceptance...any thoughts from past and present applicants? I need some helpful calming words of wisdom!

I think I am getting more nervous as we get closer and closer to the February acceptance days. Maybe I am paranoid, but aren't we all in this process?

Probably one of the most important things to remember is that even if you do have to reapply, it is not the end of the world. That, I think, will help with a lot of the anxiety. This cycle isn't the one and only chance you have to get into vet school.

Beyond that, you just have to wait it out and do the best you can at your remaining interview 🙂

So true, but on the other hand the money that has to be shelled out for a second application hurts!

I am praying that someone will give me a shot! 1 out of 3 is all that I need or want lol

This is my third time applying. You either reapply or move on. That's honestly all there is to it. Re-take classes or gain more experience in the mean time if you plan to reapply

You are getting way ahead of yourself. You have had two interviews and have a third to come. Take a breath and relax, the application game isn't over until the rejection letter has been received (and even then there have been the rare instance of people being accepted after rejection). So, deep breath, relax, focus on doing the best that you can for this next interview. Don't get too caught up into the future or what might occur. Yes, it is good to always be thinking about and even working on improving your application just in case, but don't get too worked up about not being accepted when you have not received any answers yet. Deep breaths, relax and worry about another application if you do get rejected after all 3 interviews.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it! I have just been panicking and no one around me understands how this application process works. Thank god for SDN or else I would go even more insane!
