Hi all, I was a computer science major in college and I'm applying to Bryn Mawr, Scripps, and Goucher for my career change plans. I have a decent undergrad GPA (over 3.9) and okay SAT score (verbal 710, math 800). I have some volunteering experience in hospitals and senior homes, but I won't have any shadowing experience until later this year. I also took some courses in the nursing program near my home. I still plan to apply now as I heard the chance of getting in would be higher. Will my lack of shadowing experience impact my chance of getting into these top programs? Thank you!

shadowing can be done pretty quickly. I’d hustle and get to shadow a doc in the next couple of weeks and then apply. Worst case scenario you get rejected, strengthen your experience and reapply next year.
