Same here. Wondering how many more interviews I can expect at this point...What percent of places have you heard back from at this point?

Same here. Wondering how many more interviews I can expect at this point...
Judging from past years, looks like a lot of interviews came in the first month. I wonder if theres a surplus of applicants this year due to virtual interviews
To be honest I think it’s not common to be waitlisted.. or even having an application declined…Wondering the same thing....
How common is it to be waitlisted? 🙁
Yeah that the impression I got from previous threads on this site. Definitely not true for me so far lol.To be honest I think it’s not common to be waitlisted.. or even having an application declined…
I’m also wondering if this season is different due to online interviews. I thought that people usually get interviews for all the programs applied but this is surely not the case w me so far lol
This is a statistical reality, but the odds of matching into a child fellowship where only 65+% spots fill is much more likely than getting into adult programs. If you have 3 or 4 interviews, each is about 50% likely so you are probably good. It remains a buyer's market as much as it doesn't feel like it.
I got it tooAnyone else get the invite for the Boston children’s open house? I feel like maybe they should send interview invites out first? I mean not sure I want to RSVP a month in advance for an open house for a interview I might not get lol
The facts are that fellowships fill only a little more than half of the offered positions. Child does a little better, but not much. Fellowships are hard to fill and we keep growing more despite the lack of demand.Ayoooo! Gtfo with your statistics. Come back when you have facts bro!
Jokes aside, I understand this and I feel fortunate because I have a home program where we match all the time. Howeve, there are social factors that make me very motivated to relocate and my outpatient schedule is kinda wild this year making last minute changes difficult.
Working in corrections is a trippppp!
I feel similarly. I'm focused on staying on west coast and I know these programs tend to reach out later but seems unclear how late into the interview season. Anyone have a sense of when invite window sorta closes?I have literally not received any interviews this week, and I have still not heard back from like 40% of the programs I applied to. I might have a panic attack this weekend. I was told that Child was not very competitive but clearly I have now underestimated how competitive it is to get into a big academic program.
Honestly I think with it being the second year of virtual interviews it’ll be hard to know. Seems like last year people were getting interviews through the first couple of weeks of September. But really if you get 3+ interviews that would likely be more than enough percentage wise as has been pointed out it’s still a buyers market for CAP.I feel similarly. I'm not even at 30% so far, really does seem things have changed due to the virtual interviews/not needing to travel. Probably not necessarily many more applicants, but still more applications per interview slot. Here's hoping for a good week for all!As of the most recent II's over the last few couple of weeks, I'm at just south of 50%. Still haven't heard from 2 of the ones I'm crossing my fingers for most.
Hope everyone else has a good week and things move along!

I am doing the suit top but just shorts on the bottom lol just need to be careful not to stand up during 😂To the folks planning on going to multiple interviews, how many are you shooting for?
What's the protocol for virtual interview days for fellowship is it the same strict interview clothes setup as residency? Or am I supposed to wearing a tie and sportcoat with PJ bottoms because ain't nobody gonna know the difference.
Thanks, hoping for the best! I'm happy with what I've got, but would be good to have a couple more for peace of mind. Sending good vibes your way!I'm a bit geographically bound right now so I didn't cast a super net. The only reason I applied to 10 programs was because it didn't cost anything extra to do 10 vs the 3-4 I had planned on applying to. I'm unlikely to rank more than 4 or 5 places because of life-ish, which is very different than residency. I'm likely going to start canceling interview once I hear back from a few more places (fingers crossed).
Honestly, there are a few places where I'm interviewing because I know faculty there and want to work there or in the region after I graduate. It's a small field and I don't want to slight anyone when it costs me nothing. Like was said earlier in the thread, there are a lot of open positions in the match and having 2-3+ interviews means that the odds are very very good. If you've shared your most up to date info, you're up to 4 already. That's a pretty solid number.
As someone who's still waiting for a bunch of them too, I totally get it. Just trying to offer some reassurance.
Good luckkkk!
That's reassuring, thanks!!Gluck to all interviewing this year! I remember getting a couple of invites that trickled in later in the season. My top program was actually one of my latter invites and I eventually ended up matching there (for those still waiting for invites)!

I don't remember the exact dates but I believe I received a couple of invites into mid-September.Thanks! How late are we talking lol?
I'm wondering the same thing. And I'm also wondering if there is a quick way to see which programs are involved in the match or not? Some programs do not explicitly say it on their websites or through ERAS?Does anyone have an idea how pre-match works? When would the program make the offer, and how long would you have to accept?
My upper level got a few prematch it was after having interviewed with them through eras they apparently will offer you a contract on the spot if you commit to them then. Usually it’s good for as long as they haven’t filled their spots.I'm wondering the same thing. And I'm also wondering if there is a quick way to see which programs are involved in the match or not? This is bonkers to me!
