So happy to find that I am not the only one feeling this way. I'm in the same boat as you NStarz, I have 88% in like every class. I look at the averages and I feel like I should be number one. I study like non-stop and I'm used to being number 1. I feel there are a lot of suck ups in our class. There are like the 3 in Epi that make me wanna vomit. One talks, then the other two just have to say something. Not to say that I don't like the people individually but in that setting it is just annoying.
I hate that our exams are so short too. I feel I'd do better in a longer exam where you have more opportunity to really show how much you know. Like the fact that path exam is only gonna be about 60 questions makes me really nervous

. Plus multiple choice and true false is just not my thing. If you give a short answer or fill in the diagram type thing where you have the chance to say what you know and what you're thinking I do better. I always manage to read too much into the question and mess it up with multiple choice and especially with true false.
Keep your head up, though, the slightly below average or right on average crowd is not such a bad place to be
🙂. I'm coming to terms with it. All I can do is my best, if there are others that beat me out I'm OK with it. For me, I have to understand that being out of school for 8 years and not really having taken many advanced science classes doesn't really put me in a place to compete with people just out of school that have known all along they want to be vets. It's a lot more challenging than I thought it would be, but I'll make it through and so will you. We're gonna be awesome vets and in the end no one's gonna care that we got a B in Cell Bio or Radiology or all our classes! As long as you're not in the boat that's just barely passing, be thankful and hope it stays that way.
But I totally know how you feel, I've been pretty down about that, but when I talk to people, most have taken cell bio before (I never have), some took an in depth anatomy class last year, I took a basic human anatomy class 9 years ago.
Did you happen to see the key to the anatomy exam? I haven't and I really wanna know how I did. I didn't try to remember the questions I wasn't sure on because I saw the tearoff to write your answers on and assumed the answer key would be posted after the exam. Hoping for a 92% because that would bring me back up to an A

. If my thoughts on what I missed are right (probably just hopeful thinking) I'd have a 92% exactly. If not, though, there's always next time
🙂.
Going to bed now, sorry for rambling. It'll be OK
👍. Just take a moment and look at everything you've learned so far and we've only been in school for 7 weeks. You really can't be upset when you look at it as a learning process and the goal is learning.
