Does anyone know have any idea when Mizzou tends to send out OS interview invites? I know they hold interviews in January-ish (depending on when you're scheduled, I suppose), but I couldn't find anything on when I should hope/beg to get a notice of either invitation or utter rejection.

I'm IS, so I admittedly don't keep up too much on OOS admissions, but from what I saw last year, they began going out early November. Of course, with the whole cycle and VMCAS deadline being moved one month earlier, that may change. But then again, the interview timeline for 2016 matriculants is the same on the website, so I doubt it.

I *think* it was mid to late November last year. Then interviews are first week and a halfish of January. I am sure both of those can vary from year to year though

I would place it closer to early-/mid-Nobember that Mizzou's invites went out...though I didn't hear of anyone receiving rejections until like a month later than that.

I got mine near Thanksgiving and interviews were the first week of January (right after the new year). That seems to have held pretty true the past few years 🙂

"This page is best viewed on a larger device" at least give me the option of "I don't care if I am looking on a tiny screen, let me see the page anyways. I think after all of the other problems I can manage it" It'd be nice to be able to check on some stuff during the day

It's right on their website.... January interviews... so my guess would be invites ~ a month before that.

According to Cornell:

Please remember to submit the VMCAS Application, electronic letters of reference (eLors) and transcripts by this date.

Verification can take some time, so please don't worry if you recently submitted your application (or submit on the deadline). If you designated Cornell, we will receive your application once it is verified by VMCAS.

So as long as your application is in the process of verification you should be fine :] but I also think this depends on the schools so I recommend contacting the schools since VMCAS doesn't make this quite clear.

Just a heads-up for people still dealing with the Professional Transcript Entry fiasco, LSU (who told me a few days ago, quite firmly, that the September 15th deadline was absolute) just sent out an email saying that people who signed up for PTE now have till October 1st to get their coursework entered. So hopefully other schools will do the same!!

vmcas just processed my transcript from my summer classes. My school sent it out on September 2nd. Officially in line for verification!

So I submitted on the 3rd (12:10am though)... I had called them on the 31st and they told me as of then the turnaround time was about 2 weeks, and would increase as we get closer. So I wouldn't except anything for us until after the 15th.

I was just about to post this cause I got the same e-mail. lol. I'm think LSU has had a lot of trouble with applicants this year. I've received no less than 10 e-mails from them with the directions on how to apply.

I was able to get 108 hours of SA and 21 of LA. I know that's pittance compared to some of you; I hope I stand somewhat of a chance (no pun intended).

😛 I take every single opportunity I can get for self-deprecating humor. I got my new Nutritional Biology professor SOOO GOOD yesterday. He was going through a pretty intense metabolic diagram tying liver/muscle together (gluconeo/glycolysis/fermentation) and he says "By the end of the semester, you all are going to be walking encyclopedias of nutritional and biochemical knowledge." I ask a lot of intense questions already, so he knows I'm into the class, and he also has a pretty good sense of humor.

I raised my hand 15 seconds after he finished that statement and said, "Dr. R, will I be a walking encyclopedia at the end of the semester!?" He paused for a a good 5 seconds, and then said "Of course!" The class was cracking up.

I approached him after class and he said "I love a good joke, nice one."

So, what's holding me back? My transcript is posted, PS needs editing, but the worst thing is two of my rec letters still aren't in. Trust me, I've been talking to my evaluators everyday and they're doing they best they can. It's just stressful when everyone else is finished lol

My summer plans were completely ruined because of medical issues, so I seriously hit the VMCAS hard starting in May. I've had everything done for awhile, was just racking up as many hours as I could get shadow-wise. Looking back, it was a blessing in disguise. I was able to defer my scholarship to next summer, and if I had done it this past summer, I don't think I would've scored nearly as well on the GRE, and I'd be stressing right now to get my application in.

Totally agree...sometimes crappy things happen so good things can come your way. I wouldn't have gotten the most incredible internship in the world if I hadn't......gotten rejected last summer 😱

and yes, yes I did. I've never enjoyed life more than those 7 months! Greatest hospital team, great perks, I love Florida, etc. I'm pretty sure it's the only reason I got accepted...my grades didn't change much. I would have still increased my experience anyways, but that internship is given to 4 people or less every year, so it's pretty unique.
