I would honestly skip the one at the program you're least interested in. But if that's hard to pick, then sure, fair to skip the one scheduled at an odd time. I don't think you'll get bumped down for not being able to attend, but do think worth mentioning to them you regret you'll miss because of an unavoidable conflict.
I would address to PD, but also think "to the residency committee" is fine. Could also address the email itself to PC and then ask them to please pass on the attached PDF, which you address to committee or PD. Ultimately unlikely to make or break anything.
Wait a while. I had a program do this and they took over a week to get back to me with my date.
the one program i had do things this way took 3 days to get back. i would not reach out. they will get back to you when they can. remember that they are very busy.
I’m already struggling with writing ones where I have no personal connections. Both sides of my family are condensed in two areas and I went to undergrad in one of them so I’m not sure how to write more that still sound genuine since a lot of my reasons could apply to multiple programs.
I think general consensus is that you don't have to but, I do because, why not? It doesn't hurt. Probably doesn't help either lol

I got too burnout on it after a month. Matched at a place I didn’t send a thank you note.
The way I do this if a program willingly offers Interviewer emails in like the info packet they send then I will send one. If they don't I don't bother.
I don't know if its good practice but I just group them all in one email and thank them collectively
I only have 8. About shotgun some LOIs this weekend hopefully I can reach 10.
Maybe there was something missing from your app that they were looking for? Something unique hence why the ties and step didn’t matter as much.

Yup! Wanted to wait longer but programs seem to be doing less waves this year in my specialty and saw a lot of people waiting and missing their chances only to be waitlisted at best.

Honestly I don't do a ton of prep for interviews. I've been going through the program's website and reading comments about the program on the spreadsheets from prior years the night before my interview so I have some talking points if I get asked "why this program". I have an answer for the "tell me about yourself" and have my reasons for wanting to do EM tied into that answer, and I have a list of generic questions to ask (most of which are answered during the program overview or resident socials) but I really don't do anything else. I feel like too much prep would make me sound rehearsed and not genuine and most of my interviews have been very conversational so I kind of just go with the flow.
What do you mean by prep? I started a big spreadsheet while choosing programs to apply to where I’ve filled in a bunch of info on each program, so I pretty much just review that (and fill in some gaps as needed) and Google my interviewers if they gave me the names. Maybe a couple hours max per program and most of that prep was done before applying tbh. idk what you could be doing for a week
practicing behavioral questions. thats my fear I am not very good at bull****ting on the spot. some of the behavioral questions Ive seen on these spreadsheets or on reddit are ridiculous Id crash and burn if I was hit with some of those
I have some back to back. It's not bad, they really don't require that much prep. Just read up on the program a bit the day before so you know what to say if they ask "why us".
I have heard from PD that they hate people who look them up. So I would mention stuff that I know we had in common without specifically saying you stalked them.

Dude, I’m sitting at 7 DR. I’m feeling the squeeze. I know it was 90%+ matching in 2020, but this is a different time and a lot has changed. Kinda concerned at this point.
Yeah. I know everyone’s saying that there were a lot of people in 2021 applying rads as a backup, but those 60% ish match numbers last year were horrifying regardless of whether all of those people actually wanted rads or not. I’m starting to think this year’s going to be in the 60% range, too.
I moved out of region for med school. Only got one interview in my hometown region, the rest were near my med school. If that helps you feel any better
None from my home region and all from where my school is, so I wouldn't sweat that too much.

No, no. I don't think this is necessary at all. This is the point of LOIs later in the cycle. You're all good.
Probably bc I only have 10 interviews rn not 20 like some of you so Im able to get away with not having back to back and not sure why anyone should be actually going on 20+ interviews theres really no need
