I was mailed a letter today that put me on the waitlist, so that's more exciting than getting a rejection letter!
Dr. Don-
My stats: 3.5 gpa (3.3 science) 27S MCAT, I have a lot of volunteer experience including working in foreign countries under doctors. I think the experience that I have is what at least got me on the waitlist. (I really didn't think I had a chance considering I'm out-of-state)

Does anyone know the chances of being accepted once on the waitlist?

I applied to Drew because of their committment to the underserved, and because I think that the clinincal years at King (being a county hospital) would serve as a much better learning experience than many private hospitals could give.

Does anyone know how many people are waitlisted so far, and how many have been accepted??

How do u know a letter was sent? Has anyone else received a letter from drew regarding their status? Any information out there would be helpful to hear

BUMPING up last year's Drew post-interview waiting thread since it has some good info.

Also, if anyone who interviewed in Feb has heard any peep out of Drew, please let us know. I emailed Wanda and will post her response if she writes back.

this is off topic, but do you know how drew ranks? does it have a good reputation when applying for residencies? i noticed that drew has significantly lower stats compared to the regular ucla program.

i'm looking forward to my interview this saturday. *sigh* i think it's the last med school interview i will go on!

I emailed Wanda Hall to check my status even though it has only been 5.5 weeks. She emailed back a day later and said

"You will be notified by mail."

I was wondering if anyone else has checked status through email and gotten this response or something else?

Oh, God, if I get a response, it'll probably be something like, "You will be notified by the end of this year."

Sorry @ the confusion--I bumped this thread from last year, so that was actually Don's post from last spring. Don't worry, I remember Dr. Miller saying that they were inteviewing into May.

i interviewed today. i think i heard dr. miller say something about around 30 were already accepted ( i hope i wasn't dreaming). from his talk, my impression is that drew will be able to accomodate a substantial # still. i overheard a drew student say that when he did the PRIME (?) program, there were only 6 of them. seems like the waitlist is quite fluid. the questions were exactly like the ones on interview feedback. no surprises.
