I interviewed first week, but I really think they'll send out more movement because there have been no reported waitlists even, so I'm hoping they send out more acceptances too!!

It's so interesting that these emails are sporadically getting sent out over the weekend. The admission process will forever be a mystery. I wonder how many rejection emails have went out that we don't know about? I guess Monday is not to far away and we shall all know soon.
This is what I was thinking. And I can't help but think of all the people who applied but didn't get interview invites.Most didn't hear much from Drexel at all (or just didn't post on sdn) The people that actually did get invites had their banners updated quickly and heard from Drexel with a few days. I wonder if it's the same with the actual acceptances and rejections.
I could be wrong but it's all so nerve-wracking.

I also have a question: I recently got an interview invite at Temple's ACMS program for July 1 and I was wondering if anyone knows/could speculate what would happen if I left DPMS if I somehow managed to get an acceptance at Temple. I'm scared to call and ask but I'll probably end up doing that before I commit just to be safe. Any thoughts??
the only problem i could potentially see is that programs like dpms and acms which promise guaranteed acceptances are in communication with the people over at AMCAS, they can lock you in, as well as, flag you so that other schools can tell that you are their student i.e. all medical schools can see where you have been accepted as AMCAS shares that information with them. I would just check before signing anything if their contract would keep you from leaving and entering another program.

Thank you! I will be attending the Georgetown GEMS program 🙂 I agree that you should check with the school first. Once you are under contract with DPMS you are unable to apply to any other medical schools. Not sure how it would work for leaving to attend Temple's program. Def ask them before you commit...

For those of us who have not receive any update at this point, we need to take a deep breath and wait at-least until Monday. The reality is a number of people may have decided to not post their status: rejected, accepted, or wait-listed. When I received my interview notice, I did not post it in the forum. So, maybe not all of those who have been notified early are accepted.

I'm just scared that there are other people reading this thread and are not members on SDN that have been accepted already. I count about 10 acceptances so far. Perhaps others just haven't posted that they've been accepted and the number of applicants accepted is higher.
To those of us in limbo and those rejected that have kept their silence, where do we go now? If we applied to DPMS then our undergrad grades are probably below a 3.0 and/or our MCAT is in the low 20s. What do we do with that? Reapply to DPMS next year? What other programs offer a route to being a doctor with those credentials?

Usually, it is either GPA or MCAT scores that are low. If one is lucky enough where it is only your MCAT scores that are low, just work on it before applying or re-applying to any other programs.
You guys I really do empathize with not hearing back, this is my third AMCAS year and it's been a long hard journey for me (and I'm sure all of you reading this). Just know that if you keep persevering it WILL pay off I promise. Also, do know that our thoughts and prayers are with you to succeed as well, hopefully at Drexel, but at the very least through some other opportunity. I'm pulling for another round of acceptances for y'all. [emoji120]

I dont understand why not tell everyone on the same day, why put people through the stress. We've all worked hard to get to this point, it doesn't make any sense to me. They had to know we were gonna notice that acceptances were going out, why not just say you are rejected than let us sit till Monday or even later hoping for an outcome that doesn't look to even be an option. just my opinion
i totally get your frustration, and I do think you make some valid points. I mean just leaning on the side of positivity all in all there are maybe 12-15ppl max reporting acceptances/joining the fb group so far...now that could mean a lot of things, including that there are more ppl out there who haven't done either of the two, or it could mean that there are still 25+ spots open. we won't know till we know

I received my letter today and I have been waitlisted. I want this so badly I just hope I get it.

Yes but it doesn't say waitlisted it just says a decision has been reached.

thank you for sharing for it lets us know that not everyone was an automatic accept who got an update...but a waitlist is a super positive thing for this program since i heard that they will prob only waitlist 5 max and there does seem to be a couple of folks who don't plan attending. good luck to you! congrats i think you still have a great shot
This goes against the conventional views of last year DPMS thread. Seems like email will be send out through out the whole weekend up to Monday.
i doubt anything will go out sunday, but I am gonna be curious to see how many people have joined the fb group and /or shared that they have been accepted by Monday. I just want to know already, and I wonder if our banner's are not updated by tmrw if that means we won't here on Monday?

I got the email at around 5 pm
We should start bracing ourselves for some bad news. The pattern is clear. Early this morning excepted applicants received their email, by the afternoon waitlisted groups received theirs. Thus, next should be the rejections.
While the trend is apparent on here, there is no way to know if some people got rejections today. I'm freaking out still but we don't know what's up till we get that email.

Has everyone's Banner page been updated yet? I just checked mine today (didn't see this yesterday) and it says a decision has been made but I have not gotten an e-mail. Maybe everyone's page has been updated.
