How do we schedule our interviews via the banner site? I am very excited to interview at Drexel!

It says on the banner site "You have been invited for an interview. Please go back to the Application Menu to schedule your interview."
I can't seem to find where to "schedule" this "interview" though. Hope its not a glitch 🙄 .

Congrats to everyone who got interview invites! Good luck on them! 🙂 Hopefully some of your good luck will rub off on everyone else!
Hey guys, congratulations! You have to wait until you get an email confirmation in order to schedule the interview. It'll take between 4-6 business days to receive the email from the date you received an unofficial invite via the Bannerweb. The instructions are in the email. For now, prepare!

I got an interview invite yesterday via banner too!!! Got the complete email last Saturday April 25th
submitted apps on April 12th, Notified of a missing item on April 20th, got in touch with office that same day...complete on April 25th
Confirmed for May 7th. Did anyone else choose this interview date?
Moving arts bed and respite will probably be the best deal, and if you're easy going and open to learning more about philly from a local resident then definitely call the owner! Her phone number is listed through the accommodations link Drexel sent you. I'm sure my house-sibling and fellow interviewer would say the same haha. We had a blast and had a really unique stay while eventually saving a bunch of money by staying at moving arts.
Basically the bed and breakfasts listed are the most affordable, the hotels in the area are expensive and won't drive you to Drexel, while the B&Bs generally will if you ask ahead of time.

Moving arts is def a cool spot..if you're open minded then definitely go for it..I say that just simply to say this is not a 5star hotel its a B&B with a lot of character and charm...and Pam the owner is awesome, she'll pick you up from the airport, maybe give you a tour of Philly, take you to your interview and pick you up afterwards , can't beat that...plus she's been doing this for a while and knows a lot about the area..I enjoyed it and got to meet cool people along the way and interact with godwilling a future classmate or two..all in all..recommended..
Cost will prob be about $75-90/ night ( ride to interview included) + 40 for airport pickup (cheaper than a cab/uber prob...but you could also catch the train for 6 bucks which I did to go back home)

Do you guys have any tips or links to tips on how to prepare for a med school interview?
Does anyone know approximately how many students matriculate to the medical school after they complete DPMS?
Former DPMS students and admin said about 50% matriculate. This includes people who eventually get accepted and leave the program, those who change fields midway through the program, as well as the few that can't make the MCAT or gpa requirements.
Can you clarify what you mean regarding those who eventually get accepted and leave the program? They get accepted into another medical school? I thought maybe the matriculation would be closer to 80% or 90%.
I was completed April 3rd. I just realized I have been checking the BANNER not the PORTAL. Today the application option disappeared from the banner site and I assumed a rejection. I panicked and then realized there was a portal and did the password thingy and logged in and no update.
The only thing that worries me is that people completed after me have been sent invites....
I have an acceptance to an MBS, but would prefer Drexel since guaranteed admission.

I was told either June 15th or 22nd, but others were told just the 22nd. So no one is for sure just yet, but it'll def be in mid June and we won't be notified until the end of May... So that'll give us about two weeks to move.

Did you email them first or they just randomly sent you another completion email?
They are referring to students that get accepted and start DPMS but leave for one reason or another, they may get another acceptance before the fall or they may leave midway or so. Then there are some that don't matriculate due to MCAT or GPA. if you think about it DPMS took about 38 students last year, about 19 of which were track 1 and had to retake the mcat and 19 track 2. If you lose 5 or so from acceptance to other schools or programs after the summer, 5 who left for personal reasons, 1-2 disciplinary issues, and the rest who don't make contract due to gpa or mcat, it becomes fairly easy to see how you get 50%. If you do go through DPMS successfully, you are locked in via AMCAS for the next cycle.They haven't produced the numbers from this year yet so maybe it will be higher, but according to the current and past DPMSers this will be a "Earn your spot" kind of situation, if you work hard and stay focused, you will matriculate. Good luck on your upcoming interview.
Also fwiw on my interview day, past DPMSers all agreed that when someone didn't make the contract, it was almost invariably due to the MCAT score requirement. They only mentioned 1 person they knew who had the MCAT but not the GPA. Obviously it's not an easy program, but it seems that if you get in and can get the necessary MCAT, with hard work you'll get your acceptance.
yea agreed...I heard that as well. I would be curious to see how many people were above a 3.0 but below a 3.2 as that is the new requirement for this year
Hi..practice interviews are always good for that. I did that at my college's career center and the premed center . You can even do one with a physician you previously shadowed if possible. Also, Look through last year's thread or so...one of the former DPMS student posted a good amount of tips specifically for the DPMS interviews. (In a few words though, based on my interview experiences, you just need to be able to tell why medicine and just try your best to have a good conversation with the interviewer)

Did you see that in your interview letter that they raised the requirements? What was it raised to?
I was wondering if anyone with an II has had to reschedule their interview. I might have to depending on how some things turn out and was wondering if anyone had done so.
