Dublin 2024-2025 (c/o 2029 hopefuls)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
this is probably a dumb question, but I applied this fall and got the email that said they received my app, and then an mail recently that there was an issue with a document that I provided and that I needed to reupload. Both of these emails came from noreply email addresses. I wanted to reach out and let them know that I resubmitted my document and a general update on my application, but cannot find an email address to reach out to. What email have people been emailing? thank you!!!

There is a form on the website (and linked below) that you can submit. They've been pretty responsive to that for me

Still patiently waiting to hear back. I did not get an interview so I do not have my hopes up... but does anyone know any timeframe at all we should hear back from them? Since I submitted my application I have had 0 information sent to me. I sent an email a couple days ago but haven't heard back due to the high volume of applicants and emails.

I also haven't heard anything and didn't get an interview. I emailed them 2 weeks ago and they said they will be sending out offers on a "phased basis" but that they "didn't know when I would be getting an update". I know that's unhelpful lol but just know we are all in the same boat! I'm not even sure that the admissions team is sure of their timeline right now.

I haven't heard anything from them either and I got an interview. My guess is that they're behind on everybody's applications
Also keep in mind this school is much smaller than any school in the US. The grad entry program is only about 50 spots so it’s a lot to sift through when so many people apply from North America !

Hi all!! I'm assuming everyone else hasn't heard anything either. The admissions' last email said they would release round one decisions the week of February 10th, and still... nothing.. for me at least. how is everyone holding up? I've given up hearing anything back anytime soon. How do they expect us to make such life-altering decisions in such little time? (I only say this in the case that we don't get decisions until March like Margarete told me at my interview.) Especially if we are coming from afar. I hope everyone is doing well, maybe we will hear this week? (づ ᴗ _ᴗ)づ♡

definitely super anxious to hear back, but i'm trying to keep hope that we get decisions very soon! i've been checking my email like a maniac ;( i also hope everyone is doing well despite these trying times <3

Just got back family trip of UK and Ireland. My son is waiting to hear back from Dublin school. While there we did a campus tour of UCD. The ambassador giving tour was a vet student and was great. She did mention that they do run on 'island time' so stay patient on getting word back on acceptances. Looks like a great facility and beautiful campus. Everyone was super friendly on campus and throughout Dublin. I don't think anyone should hesitate about going to UCD, looked great.

You guys that have gotten acceptances today, last name first letter? Mine just says "Decision Pending"

Seeing a lot of people getting accepted today, especially a bunch from those who did interviews in NYC. My application is still on "Decision pending". I hope to hear back from them soon.

Congrats to all of you who have gotten offers!! also @Vytis I haven’t heard anything either. My last name starts with a K and I was interviewed in San Francisco in January. Admissions said they would send an email out when first offers were given out.. I haven’t gotten that email, has anyone else? Congrats again to all! Fingers crossed for the rest
Of us!!

I got an offer and didn’t interview! For those that went to interviews, did they give a presentation on the university? Wondering if there was any information provided on what it’s like to go to UCD.

They had a reception that I was unable to attend but at the interview itself they gave a bunch of pamphlets about the program and their like most recent newsletter.

Congrats! I am happy to answer any questions for you, if you would like. I am a 3rd year in the 4 year program.

I interviewed in San Francisco in January, they did give a presentation about UCD that was based off of the videos they sent to those of us who were interviewed I believe! They may have sent it to everyone but I’m not sure. They also had 2 previous students discuss their time at UCD as well! You might be able to email Margaret and ask for those videos! I really liked them, they gave me helpful information and a good sense of what UCD is like overall. Congrats to those with offers!! Anyone else waiting on decisions? They still haven’t sent out that email they said they would when first offers went out. I’m freaking out. My future life literally hangs in the balance. Lol 😵‍💫

I’m still waiting and I’m totally feeling the nerves too. I hope there is another wave of offers, best of luck!

I'm waiting too!! Literally climbing the walls. They said at interviews that sending out all the offers would take a few weeks, so I'm still hopeful!

I hope they send some information out soon! As someone who also didn't interview but was accepted, it is so tough even having to think about making a decision when there is still so much I haven't learned about the program. I plan to visit in person in March so I will keep you updated!

I have the Dropbox link to the video presentation but everytime I post it it does the stupid emoji thing but I can ss for you guys to type it in yourselves. Sorry :/

I wanted some help with where to prepare for the interview. Any guidance would be great. Thank you, and god bless you all.

I got a conditional offer!!! And SO DID MY BEST FRIEND!!! We will see you all in September!! Congrats everyone! Any North American students have any tips for the loan process, how much we can take out, what it covered for you financially! Congrats all again! Woo hoo!

Did you get it this weekend??

would you guys want me to make a group me for accepted students?
The class reps from the current 1st year class will be creating a Facebook group for y'all, but that will not be until April/May. They will also be doing Zoom meetings for you guys over the summer to give you lots of information and also give you guys a chance to get to know each other. You will also be matched with a Big Sib from the current 1st year class to give you help and advice during your 1st year and beyond.

Is anyone familiar with the extramural studies requirement? If I'm correct, a total of 36 weeks are required (12 pre-clinical plus 24 clinical ems) by April of the final year. That comes down to about 3 months per year for graduate entry students during vacations. Is this an accurate estimate of what to expect?
