@aw_med : I dont see any interview tab anywhere. Is it something that just appears if you are extended an interview?

ive never received that link in any email and i got the app complete email ~1month ago
I found the link at the bottom of the "invitation for secondary application" email

i dont see it. at the bottom of that email i see an email address to admissions...

+1. So what I instead did was, go to https://vcomvcamp.vcom.edu, press "Forgot Password" tab, write down my AACOMAS ID #, and you will receive the email with password. You can go from there and it's actually neat because you can check if all materials are received. Probably only people who got interview invite will see the tab "Interview".

has anyone else not received a complete email? All of my materials are marked as received in the portal but I never received the complete email and I submitted my secondary back in mid-July

I haven't gotten a complete. I submitted my secondary on 8/18 - but my letters were included in my AACOMAS primary and they should have had them from the start.

do you not receive a complete email if your letters are through AACOMAS? this is how I sent my letters as well

Their complete process isn't exactly like other schools. After you get the "complete" e-mail, your application is very likely to be reviewed for an interview over the next two weeks (according to their website). They only complete a small number of applications at a time, because they can only review a small number at a time.

Being "complete" and not hearing back after a few weeks is more ominous than not being complete at all yet. If you're not complete, just relax and give it time.

Quick question. Does anyone know if this school does pre-interview rejection emails? Because if thats the case, silence could be a positive thing...

They generally try to hang on to most applications until later in the cycle. From what I understand, they usually don't give secondaries to candidates unless they feel there's a strong possibility they could be granted an interview.

So I called someone in admissions today and she told me that they DO send out pre-interview rejection emails, so, if its an interview you'll receive a call, if rejected a notification of such will be sent via email. Just FYI.

Sent my primary app to VC campus. Does this mean I also applied to CC and Auburn campuses since the secondary says you can choose which of the 3 campuses you want to go to? Or do I need to also apply to CC and Auburn through AACOMAS?
The whole 1 secondary app for all 3 campus is a huge win for the wallet.

You need to send your primary to all 3. The secondary is only one fee for all campuses. Sorry that your wallet may hurt.

I don't think you have to send primary to all schools. They all use the same exact system...if your primary is on file for one it is available to all. This is something you should call about to verify though.

Got an II last night at 10:45pm via e-mail 😱
Complete 8/19, in-state, URM (according to their secondary questions)
~3.5 cGPA/sGPA, 30 MCAT

I'll be interviewing at the VA campus on 10/19. Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hey, that's my date too. See you there 😀

Thanks for the info!
Congrats on your II!

How does VCOM view in-state applicants that are from the DC area? Still get in-state preference?

Can anyone on here provide any interview advice? Thanks!!!!

I had an interview yesterday and it was great! The faculty and staff are extremely friendly, and the interviews were very low stress and conversational. They just asked the basic interview questions you would expect reading the interview feedback section or simply googling med school interview questions lol. Overall, LOVED it and really hoping to hear good news in the next couple weeks 🙂

They said yesterday that they literally just started interviewing regular track applications. Early decision interviews were just finishing up. I wouldn't start worrying just yet!

Did you interview early or regular decision?!

For those that haven't received a secondary or complete status yet, this is very normal for VCOM based on past years. The way it was explained to me by a student here is that they try to review "stronger" candidates early in the cycle. Often cases this could mean ignoring a great candidate for reasons like location (remember their mission statement).

It is common for a long delay between primary and secondary or secondary and complete. Receiving "complete" status basically means they're going to review your application for interview within 2 weeks. It's true that a later interview means a greater chance at the wait list, but there are also plenty of students that submit in July and are accepted after January/February interviews.

I wouldn't get discouraged yet, even if you submitted 3 months ago.

Quick Question: For the people that had a regular decision (not early decision) interview, at the end of the interview did you get papers saying the required documentation if you are accepted and financial aid information?

Yes we did! It had things such as making sure you have an osteopathic physician's LOR within 30 days of acceptance

I will sacrifice this poster to my secret shrine honoring goro if I get an II tomorrow from VCOM. Mark my words  master goro, hear my prayers. hoiyaboya hoiyaboya hoiyaboya
When did you submit, if you are willing to share, please?
