I just submitted!!! :joyful::joyful:
But of course the very moment I clicked the submit button, that feeling of panic washed over me. I did not add animal nutrition as a satisfaction for some of my programs. 🙁 I did put it under my transcript entry, I just didn't add the class for some of the upper division prerequisites. Do you think the schools would still recognize that class as a prereq if I didn't click on it?:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I have those same feelings of panic! I honestly thought I would feel relieved and happy after submitting, but I feel more stressed out that ever!!!

I just submitted too. 😱 Immediately questioned all my essays and think they are crap lol. Oh well, now on to some supplementals. 🙂

@mildredjrt and @FeenyFee Right? The post-submission stress is real! I am obsessively checking if anything has changed on VMCAS but I know I just need to focus on my supplementals now. There is nothing that can be done about VMCAS.

Ok, repeat after me: Relax.

This is one tiny (really!) stress in a very, very long line of stresses ahead of you, and each one gets successively worse.

You submitted. You can't change it. You can't do anything about it. So let it go. Work on the supplementals, go get some exercise, go eat a wonderful dinner with a friend, etc. Enjoy life. 🙂

Finally submitted. Looks like they did away with the explanation essay. Also, it's really hard to find out which portions of the PS to kick out when you go over by 2 sentences.

What happens if I say I have a course planned, but then I decide later on this year not to take it? Like UF requires ansci and animal nutrition, but if I end up not getting an interview or anything there, I wasn't going to take them. Do schools care about this?

I figure if you get accepted the school will tell you their policy on this, but I don't believe they'll hold you to anything other than pre-reqs that are a WIP.

ugh everyone is submitting but i dont think i'll be ready to do so until mid-next week. my sister visiting from out of country from the last few weeks really ate up a lot of my time. I feel like such a slacker lol

The explanation statement is still there it's just in the "other information" section. They moved that late in middle of last cycle.

the stupid GRE site has been down for days. I hope this isn't impacting the scores being sent.......

Do we get to see the GPAs VMCAS calculates for us? How does that work?
If you go to the "Check Status" tab and then click on "Download PDF" for one of the school you applied to, you can see your GPAs🙂

Sorry for another post, but if a school has a VMCAS code, it will come up on the VMCAS application as received for GRE scores?

I don't really know, I've had scores show up with a VMCAS code, and not... so yeah I'm really helpful 😉

EDIT: So never mind, all of my VMCAS codes have shown up, I just didn't realize it! Hope that actually helps!

Mine are there too...lol. I guess i never checked. I just kept checking the checklist for my school and they aren't marked as received there but they are marked on VMCAS. So i can calm down now lol

Hey quick question guys!
I re-took the GRE Aug 31st (yeah), but I timed out on the second quantitative section :dead: and was dismayed to find that wasn't the experimental. My past GRE scores were 155 verb/156 quant, and this last re-take is unofficial 158 verb/153 quant. Such disappoint, but essentially the same. The newest gives like 0.5 value to my Michigan State SIS score, but not sure which one actually reflects best to list as the one under VMCAS (All scores have been sent to all potential CVMs) so I know it might not matter, but still not sure.

I'm grumpy because one of my schools messaged me today saying my physics was delinquent because it didn't have a lab and was only three credits. I told them that the lab was included in the class and I took two physics courses. They told me that the course description didn't say anything about a lab and they would discuss it. 😡 I know you can't exactly take my word for it, but it's not my fault! I feel like they are throwing my chance away, even though I know that's not true. I can't make them accept me. I offered to talk to the department to get a syllabus, but I haven't heard back. In conclusion, I'm grumpy :annoyed:.

Can you just offer to take a lab next semester?

Send them a syllabus anyway. That's what my school needed me to send for my online biochem.

So I think I'm having the opposite problem - my GRE scores are listed as 'sent' on their website, but haven't shown up on VMCAS (or at least not all of them are) and it's been a long time. For some reason they're showing up double on the GRE site, with half saying 'sent' and he other half saying 'pending' even though they're the same scores sent to the same places...thoughts??

I probably will but I don't have the syllabus because I took the class eight years ago. I'll need to contact the school to get a new one which will be a huge pain so I'll see what they say first. I'm just being incredibly impatient because I sent them the message today.

I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Extra stress is never appreciated.

Some of mine are showing double too. I'm only applying to UGA and they said as long as VMCAS received them by sept 15, that was all that mattered. Idk about other schools.

Do y'all know if scores can still be accepted after you submit? I retook the GRE last weekend and am waiting on those to be sent, but I'm ready to submit

Submitting today ( since its past midnight) hoping I get verified before the 15th.

Thanks, honestly I'm just a little irritated at my undergraduate school. This is not even in the top ten of the issues I've had because they are too freaking complicated. I had to call and speak to someone at vmcas because they thought my transcript was incomplete. When I was on the phone the guy looked at my transcript and was like, this is the most confusing thing I've ever seen. It's a quarter system that gave one third units instead of credits. Who does that?

I submitted on Wednesday night and was verified yesterday afternoon so hopefully it will continue to move fast for everyone else that's just submitted or is about to. I was thinking it would take at least a week.
Now the wait begins

Just submitted! It says awaiting materials, but all my materials are in...I know other people had this problem. It says they've received both transcripts from my the two schools i've attended but only one has a "verified" check by it. The other just says received. Whats up with that? When will it change to verifying?

My entire life is ironic. I barely studied for the last GRE and got 152 verbal, 154 math. I studied my butt off and just got 153 verbal and 154 math.

🙁 the GRE, it's just too much fun to handle.
The admissions director at VA-MD said in their webinar that they don't think they're going to require it next cycle because they don't think it is an accurate reflection of applicants' abilities which I TOTALLY AGREE WITH. She said that since so many people take AP classes in high school, the last time many people have seen algebra or geometry like the kind on the test was in high school. For me it was 8th and 9th grade and I for reals don't remember any of it. Yuck.

There can be a normal delay in the status changing I think. However, I gave it a couple days... but I ended up having to email and it was a display issue that they fixed. So maybe give it a day or two and then call/email to check.

Boo. I might be the only person unhappy about that but I was looking at VA-MD for next cycle if I get rejected again and it may have to get dropped off my list if they dont consider gre at all. Are they just not requiring it or not going to consider it even if you have it?

My IS this year stopped giving people a small boost for having a bachelor's degree and that bummed me out too. Changes that make me look worse are no fun. 🙁

Submitted, now onto that supplemental..My IS is UF ugh.

Me tooooooo - did you do the diversity essay already, or do you mean the extra website? That didn't take too long I think.

And finnick- I don't know the answer exactly or even if they will for sure do away with it. It was just something she mentioned. I actually liked a lot of the things she said cause it seems like they really look at the whole picture for applicants instead of just one thing. They also don't require many vet hours or that much depth. Very interesting take.

So if they don't require too many vet hours, and they're moving away from gre, what else exactly do they judge us on?

The one on their website, I have a piece of paperwork I need in to finish that one. It's complicated but I sent in the VMCAS so I could get the verification rolling.
