Game Thread: Meats's Reading List: WWhat I Read in 2019

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don't understand what's confusing about any of this. Or why Doggo should be lynched considering she can't be an original.
I’m clearly not saying let’s lynch Doggo- maybe let’s not convert hunt until we get more OGs. It’s just yet another thing to have to think about unless someone claims the rez and then flips village. There’s a lot of weird timing going on in just this past day and I can’t tell what, if any, is real and what is just a distraction.

Anyone of any affiliation can rez anyone of any affiliation. The two don't have to match. What's a distraction?

You know what I find really interesting... pip has been saying all along how wolfy I am. There's a legitimate lynch of me going on, and she's stuck in her little dubz tunnel... this is fascinating isn't it?
Actually I said I moved you village after you could talk again D3. No one listens to what I say though, it's fine.

This is a weird post for someone to make if they had just rojo'd though. Tell me more about how this is a legitimate lynch on you
Coop is obviously a wolf, I think it's ok to start thinking about converts in that context, for future lynches
And it's weird for you to do a 180 on one of your permavillage reads when she makes what could be a typo and then posts a bunch of villagey sounding strategy after it.

^that whole business is weird af and I don't know if Coop is chaos and needs to get lynched for her role or whatever, but I hope y'all don't get burned by whatever fire you are playing with. We are made of paper, after all.

Ok good i can ignore this then
You don't even know what your own results mean
So, this is still a very odd reaction to me. How do you know that was my full result? Why do you assume that result (which does not sound exactly innocent to me, btw) is perfectly valid, but I must be interpreting it wrong?

Hold on, please explain this to me. Your results stated she was located in the restricted section? Is that all? Or are there some parts of your results you're not explaining?
Of course there are things I'm not explaining. First of all we can't quote mod PMs; second of all, deal with it

Yeah and still somehow I doubt I would actually get to lynch you
Salty about something, Coop?

@PippyPony How certain are you on Dubz? I’m wary if all you got was that she was in the restricted section because of the whole setup of the game.
Certain enough to stake my life on it, as stated earlier. Plus, if I am wrong, she will be able to gloat until the end of tiiiiiime that I tunnel her so bad and nothing ever comes of it, and I'll have to accept that she is right, which is maybe a punishment worse than death for me.

And honestly I think that should be more than enough for people to lynch there, but you do you

Anyone of any affiliation can rez anyone of any affiliation. The two don't have to match. What's a distraction?
I don’t know, that’s why I’m confused. It’s just a little too strange to be coincidental that all of these things are happening the same day. The Doggo rez is the least weird out of everything, but even that just adds on another layer of uncertainty combined with the dolphin rez and no-kill night yesterday.

Although I guess an alternative here is that Coop actually did rojo -- intentionally or not intentionally -- and Dubz is her convert who is now throwing her under the bus, but I don't think that works with the timeline of my result unless wolves silently converted hella early or under the cover of the night cancel somehow

Edit to add: I don't see both as an OG in that scenario because the bussing is out of character for Dubz especially, and there is no reason for her to be the first to call out a rojo that other people might not have even seen. I barely saw it and I'm usually pretty fast on that stuff.

I just asked the mods if the items in game (if there are any) have no clear affiliation (just like how the roles don't have clear affiliation and can be useful for both village and wolves). And received the answer that this question should be asked post-game. Possibly the dead can send items or there is a tinkerer or possibly the dead are the ones sending the book fund. I don't really see how conversion (a clear wolf affiliation) would work in this game since if it is related to someones role then it wouldn't benefit village. Alternatively it is an item or book fund related and possibly one of the book fund items was conversion.

Still, as was said in the noob game that has still stuck with me:
Also for all you nooblets, it's better to hunt for originals than converts unless you're extremely confident
Lets focus on originals for now and we'll figure out if conversion actually happened later.

Lo de do

Ok games up guys. That was a purposeful fauxjo for reactions and something to do with my role that I will not disclose at this time. I discussed this all with @johnnaboo before doing it which she can correlate. It's best we figure out this dubz/pippy thing first and foremost. If you still want to lunch me, fine. But maybe we should lunch an actual wolf

@PippyPony I'm honestly really bothered you didn't take my bait. I would like a full night result. If it really is an item and it's gone then there's literally no harm in telling us unless you don't want us to know because you're hiding something. I believe you seered her, I'll even believe the results if you actually tell them to all of us.

The conversion mechanism that Dubz included in the noob game -- where it was one wolf's role ability to convert -- is actually not all that common. In fact, I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've seen a designated wolf converter.

What's more common is for wolves to have a factional (aka shared pack-wide ability) conversion, much like their night kill. Some mods may still require that one wolf is assigned to do the converting for the purposes of order of operations (e.g. if that wolf was blocked the night they go off to convert someone, they don't get to convert), or they may say that the group can submit their choice for conversion.

Can confirm. Coops said I should report a rojo happened in our PM, Moose and I were not up for it, so Coops took things in her own hands. I don’t know her affiliation, but considering she shared her role with me and tried to plot a plan that would have helped the village, I’m ok calling her village for now.

Still would've been more fun 😛

How about that okay reaction now eh @BigCats? 😛
Sorry, all I can hear is “awoo awoo awoo” and “I pocketed a villager by suggesting something so absurd that they assumed no wolf would be stupid and/or bold enough to try”

So you're doing the thing you specifically told Strog not to do just last game because it's anti-village and you said only mechanics saved him from you killing him. Why is it suddenly such a wonderful idea that you decided to imitate it here?

@Ms Procrastinator you know I was silenced yesterday, right? So when I was changing my reactions to that post in our PM, what question do you think I could possibly have been trying to ask you? Not that it's relevant anymore anyway, but you could have actually said something instead of just changing your reactions to dislike. Just for future game play.
You got what I was trying to say right?

Sorry, all I can hear is “awoo awoo awoo” and “I pocketed a villager by suggesting something so absurd that they assumed no wolf would be stupid and/or bold enough to try”
Are you reading me based off a rojo that was not real?? That was planned? How? 🤣 or do you think it's real despite the planning?

Because it's so much more fun 😛 and because I actually planned to die so it was of no matter. Don't worry I'd drop all the info and everything I knew just before I was lynched

No, I believe it was a fauxjo. But I also believe that your bogus “””reaction test””” is a wolf plan you devised, thinking that people would automatically assume no wolf would be as suicidal and stupid as to fake a rojo.

Question, were you wolf reading me before this?

and something to do with my role that I will not disclose at this time.
Yeah that is not sketchballs at all

I don't understand why you are pushing this if you are village. I also don't know why you're bothered by my hesitancy to believe that someone I seered as bad actually caught a rojo, especially when you started acting all weird about it immediately afterwards.

Or for that matter, why you thought it was a good idea to out whoever acted on you last night after you rojo'd? Because that feels like the village thing to do in my mind and instead you exposed them

So no, I don't think I am going to play along with whatever games you are trying to play.

Lynch off my info or don't.

It is slightly concerning that no one is claiming the rez but I guess affiliation of rezzer does not equal affiliation of the rez. It still would be easier to have all the info on how the rez went down to determine the probabilities.

You'd best flip wolf or I'm going to be very disappointed with you. I put a lot of work into solving these games and I don't like people gamethrowing in the moment because it's "funny". Why can't you share the info now?

Oh hey forgot about that bit  but hm I'm not happy with you, like I hardly ever am. You never even acknowledged jmoos question so I'm really unsure why you're hoarding info like that especially if it is what you say it is. And for that matter I didn't out anyone. I'm confused why they choose me as a target but I never even stated what was done. Especially weird considering I've already mentioned on thread that I was tracked earlier in the game

Oh I'm so scared of disappointing you 😛 😉 the info drop already happened, mostly. I was going to reveal my role and my plan at exactly seven so no one could switch. I was going to explain what I was doing and why and then what my informed reads were from it. So! BC definitely wolf. Dubz unfortunately based on this reaction I also think wolf. Pippy is who the **** knows? Very useful this fauxjo. I got so many compliments about the timing and editing after people had quoted it. It was beautiful, a masterpiece. I know you don't agree but you don't have to. It happened.

Someone explain why we're engaging with an outted wolf?

The typo argument is uh, complete bull**** considering she very quickly edited "target" to "talk about", which is not nearly the same thing. The use of "we" is also pretty telling. And she did not at all respond to me the way village coop would have responded if it was a typo.

Best to ignore that one and start talking about who else might be wolfing with her.

The problem I'm running into currently is whether a 3 wolf pack in a game this size would get a convert.

Lynch Dubz
for now
Stop that. If pip is so sure I'm a wolf, why didn't she try harder to get me lynched yesterday? Why did she sit on info from a supposed item, when it could have been freely shared? Why is she being cagey about her results?

I think the truth may be that she was unsure about the results, but she can't see past her confirmation bias so she's using it to drive my lynch.

Did you... Did you read what I said at all? Ok

Has it been said that this game has 3 wolves?
Nope, I'm doing tentative calculations to decide whether or not I should still be looking for another original.

3+1 puts wolves at 23% though and that's probably more balanced than 2+1, so supposing coop was referring to conversion (and not just killing jboo), it's probably 3+1.

Gee, I wonder why someone would sit on that info... particularly when their name was being thrown around as wolfy and they didn’t want to introduce even more uncertainty to taint that info.

I get your point here Dubz, but there are probable answers to your questions. It’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Oh god the fact is I've actually thought of this and it bothers me. But still not like she'll win even if we mislynch you which judging by your most recent reaction is highly unlikely.

Lynch dubz

If y'all actually let Dubz talk you out of seer results on her, then I am going to be more than a little offended and sad for us all

Doesn't make sense for me to come out with results that I think are going to be wrong because I'll just get lynched afterwards

And her reaction to this is wack. "Pip's results are real but she's reading them wrong?" Come on. If you were a villager you'd be lynching me for being a liar.

Isn't it most mechanically sound to just lynch Coop especially since she's not taking any hard stances regarding dubz/Pippy?

All my village reads are convinced you're village. I don't know anything about this item or what it's results mean. My immediate reaction was to think you're lying, but you're right that it doesn't make much sense for you to do that as a wolf at this stage in the game. So I am left to assume you are misinterpreting.

And the fact that jmoo confirmed it? Or is she in my pack too?
You're not gonna convince me that was a reaction test when there's a good chance nobody even would have seen it. You left it for less than a minute. And this kind of thing is far outside of your village meta.

Looolllllll you gonna lynch me for seering a wolf and getting her lynched, Coop?

Maybe we should be lynching you next after all
Not at all. But I'm half convinced you are both wolves putting in this show and I'm super paranoid about it. There was that no kill night a while back that was not the night cancel. You could've gotten converted. I'm very worried about that.
