Game Thread: Meats's Reading List: WWhat I Read in 2019

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Pffft I've rojod in non silenced PM's with three people in them and then just talked my way out it.
I remember, I was modding 😛
Sorry bout your luck though. Losing one wolf to game mechanics and another to a rojo is rough.

I was gonna be offended that you didn't suggest me for conversion but I'll actually consider it a gift in this game state.

Am: asks questions
People: answer questions
People: ask AM questions
AM: here's some incredibly cryptic response, figure it out yourself
People: lynch AM
AM: 😱
be very careful what you say from here on out

Woah woah woah, a nooblet did a fauxjo as a villager in soccer?
I tried that once
I got lynched 🤣
Yeah sunbodi said something along the lines of “we win wolves”

Updated reads:

village:
AM
Wonder
Pip
jmoo

village leaning:
Genny

neutral:
BigCats

wolf leaning:
MsP
Dubz

wolf:
SAR
Coop

Oh SAR is back in the wolf pile eh?

she never left. Like I said I was rattling names off the top of my head and wasn’t actually looking at the list of alive players. She slipped my mind

I'm glad after all this time you think you'd even know what my village game was if I had villager stamped across my forehead. Keep trying, pip. Even your favorite book can't save you from the tunnel I guess.
So, here is my follow up on this -- when is the last time I actually went full-on tunnel and thought you were a wolf when you were not? The past however many number of games we've played, I have actually been pretty accurate with village reading you after the first couple of days.

If you can find a game that contradicts that assessment, then be my guest, but aside from some early suspicions (and french quarter which doesn't count), I don't think I have been wrong very often at all recently.

And this feels markedly different from those games, right down to the way you are going after me.

So again, it's like you're not actually thinking about these statements or basing them in any sort of reality -- you're just falling back on this gaslighting crap that doesn't have any real substance behind it.

Ok, I seem incapable of sleep tonight, so let us examine my village games over the last year

90s - I questioned you, you accused me of trying to get you dead even after I backed off (sound familiar?). Don't remember tou village reading me before I died.

Foodie - still throwing wolf points my way on D7
@SportPonies is there a reason why you only want to flip dubz if Mel is a wolf? Cause I have gotten the heebie jeebies from a number of her posts, including the "aw shucks, I hope I didn't help out the wolves!" post earlier today, and if AM is a wolf, then I want dubz lynched next.
And I also like a dubz lynch and would support an AM lynch as well. On re-read, I flagged a LOT of quotes around the acanth lynch for both of them. If Finn is not a wolf, then I think AM and Dubz are potentially both wolves.
..Except Dubz. Dubz gets absolutely no village points for that vote, and instead gets herself about 5 in the wolfy column for the comment that amounted to "you aren't going to role claim? then I see no reason to move my vote."

Ice Cream - You didn't play
Fall - we bickered d1 and both died n1
Birbs - you didn't play
Hubris of the Champs - you were a wolf
Fangs & Fur - can't even imagine a world where I'm not a wolf
Wolf packs

Sporty-genny-dolphin-dubz <-- this feels the most right to me at the moment but I don't think 3 of them would have piled on barks D1

Dubz-genny-ziggy-dolphin

Dina-paws-dolphin-dubz

Omitted - you were baddie
Panem et Circenses - I'll give you a pass on this one because that was my fauxjo lol
Ireland - you modded
Horses - you modded
Ski Weekend - you modded
Hiking - you didn't play
Orchestra - you didn't play

So what recent games are you talking about where you were village reading me? You know that if I go further back it only gets worse. Can you please just admit you see me through a wolfy lens every time we play together, recalibrate, and stop trying to lead bad lynches against me? The noobs don't know the history so they don't get why I talk about it the way that I do. There's a reason the only people calling me sketchy for it are the ones who haven't seen this play out dozens of times.

90s I almost gave you an item N1 so I was already decently sure you were village

Foodie was throwing those at you so you were less likely to die

So no, those are both wrong actually

I will happily admit that up until the most recent games this has been true

But those two games you referenced I had you as leaning village both times, so I'm sorry, but you're wrong in saying the tunnel has been continuous.

And you have to go way back in time to find a game where both of us were village together, so yes -- those are what I meant by recent games.

Edit to add: me saying in 90s that you wanted to get me dead was accurate and not the same as me calling you a wolf lol. I did not want to be mislynched in that game and I think you know that.

Yeah I know you almost gave me an item n1...and then you changed your mind. So even being in your role PM later on I am nowhere near convinced you were actually reading me village.

That's all well and good for you to say about Foodie but there's no way to verify it is there? As far as I can tell any thought you gave about me on that entire thread to anyone that asked until at least after the finn lynch was that I was wolfy.

You asked for evidence I provided it. Just because you want to say that this time you're actually reading me wolfy and the other times you were just pretending, doesn't make you any more right. Because once again, I am not a wolf.

Edit to add: me saying in 90s that you wanted to get me dead was accurate and not the same as me calling you a wolf lol. I did not want to be mislynched in that game and I think you know that.
No, it was not, if I wanted you dead I would have kept lynching you, and implying that I was still trying to make it happen despite moving my own vote off of you is implying that I was behaving like a wolf

You're bad at reading me pip. You just are, have been for a long time. You call it gaslighting, you do every time I say it, it continues to be the truth.

I'm going to bed. Unless the wolves decide to kill me tonight for literally catching one of them in a rojo, feel free to convince other people to lynch me tomorrow, and I will convince them to, I don't know, lynch the actual wolf.

The books on my shelf quaked in fear as they heard a keening squeal cut short by the slick sound of a knife slicing flesh.

Looking among their numbers, one book is missing from the bookshelf this morning, replaced only by a streak of blood and ominous white hairs.

According to the writer of the best-selling crime novel ever to have been published in the city of Ankh-Morpork, it is a truth universally acknowledged that a policeman taking a holiday would barely have had time to open his suitcase before he finds his first corpse.

And Commander Sam Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch is on holiday in the pleasant and innocent countryside, but not for him a mere body in the wardrobe. There are many, many bodies and an ancient crime more terrible than murder.

He is out of his jurisdiction, out of his depth, out of bacon sandwiches, and occasionally snookered and out of his mind, but never out of guile. Where there is a crime there must be a finding, there must be a chase and there must be a punishment.

They say that in the end all sins are forgiven.

But not quite all...

Simultaneously, vmh seems to have returned from the used book store with a new friend to put on the shelf.

Welcome back, @Doggo Labs !

In other news, vmh seems to have been permanently banned from the used book store for something related to "books that kill people" or some other such nonsense.

Sorry friends, just when I sat down I got called to assist with a twin calving.

On the other hand, thanks for the timing wolves because I honestly had no idea when I was ever going to get caught up again.

Go village!

You know what I find really interesting... pip has been saying all along how wolfy I am. There's a legitimate lynch of me going on, and she's stuck in her little dubz tunnel... this is fascinating isn't it?

No, it was not, if I wanted you dead I would have kept lynching you, and implying that I was still trying to make it happen despite moving my own vote off of you is implying that I was behaving like a wolf

Oh that's right, I forgot -- you are the Most Right®, even about what is in other people's heads.

But I seered you N4, so.

Fight that.
