Have any of your schools given you advice for areas to improve? Have you continued to change your application by taking classes or doing hours each time you apply? You are a curious case as your numbers seem fine on paper. Do you feel like you have some carefully researched schools on your list this year that will be a good match?

I was thinking the same thing. Stats look really good, aside from a cGPA on the lower end of average, but pGPA is higher than average and great extracurriculars. Do these schools that rejected from years past have interviews? I find it astounding that if they do why an interview wasn't at least offered.

This is my second time applying after being waitlisted at Mount St. Mary's and Chapman. Since my first application I have gained more experience as a PT aide and have retaken a couple classes. I'm SO nervous. Wish me luck!

UPDATE: Acceptance to UNE!!!

Anyone know someone that went to Nova? I was looking up reviews from previous students and found some not so positive (http://www.studentsreview.com/FL/NSU_g.html). Nova is honestly my number 1 school mainly because I literally live next door but now I'm questioning it....Any feed back will be appreciated!

I'm in the same situation! I got accepted there and it was one of my number one choices. I need to make my decision within the next few weeks and haven't heard back from 7 of my other schools yet so idk if I should send in my deposit or not since it's so expensive! Let me know if you hear any advice!

I know my stats aren't great but I figured I'd share to give some others in my situation hope. I am a nontraditional student so I do have some other experiences that I believe helped me get in. I also have a ton of awards that made the board look twice. Keep your chin up if you guys haven't heard back!

Congratulations! When did you submit your application and when did you hear back from Lynchburg?

Thank you! I submitted my application September 15, was certified around October 15. I first got an email saying they couldn't come to a decision but due to the strength on my application it was still under review and to notify them of anything else I may have. This happened about 3 weeks ago, I called them 2 weeks ago notifying them of 3 more awards I earned, then a few days later I got the call I was accepted. If you applied there and got a similar email don't give up just follow up. I think me following up helped me get in!

@Brandyyyy Congrats on your acceptance! Do you think you're going to attend? I got accepted to Lynchburg too and am in the process of trying to figure out what to do. It's such a hard decision!! But I definitely love the area and everyone at the school is so nice.

@cvc29452 I definitely am going to attend! I honestly am sick of the waiting game and am ready to see a different part of Virginia. If you got accepted into other schools you may want to do tuition Analysis but I know I'm taking a leap of faith and pulling the trigger even though Lynchburg is the most expensive in VA. If your finances allow it, put the deposit down and if another school comes along you like more then you can always walk away from you deposit (though hard has that may be).

So I have followed- up with all of the schools that were willing to provide feedback in the past (UW, UPS, George Fox). And I'm amazed at what they've said - there are no specific areas that I can strengthen. I realize that my GRE isn't as competitive as others, but each of the advisors said that it is not a weakness worth addressing, especially if I am taking it for the third time. They all said for me to reapply and continue seeking experience... which I have been doing. It's really frustrating for me to come up short and know that there is not really anything that I can do specifically to strengthen my application.

For that reason, I have choose to apply to as many schools as I can afford that around the west coast. Of course I've love to stay in Washington, but I'm starting to realize that that expectation is no longer a realistic one. I could have done better research on my schools, but I am just playing to my odds at this point. 🙁

I wish I knew. I asked one of the current students how long it took for her to hear from them and she told me that people in her class heard anywhere from two weeks after the interview up until right before the program started in May.

I asked during my interview on Thursday when we could expect to hear back about admission, and was told we should hear by the second week of December. Don't worry, it's still really early in the admissions process. I plan to put the deposit down at Radford and wait to see if I get accepted to VCU or ODU to make a final decision. Stay Positive!

I agree that your GRE is fine. Your GPA seems fine, especially with your extremely high pre req GPA. If it were me, here's what I would do: 1) solicit as much advice on your essays as you can. I know they said glowing stuff, but that may or may not be the whole truth. Do not ask close friends unless you know they can be mean to you. In fact, you may get some of the most real feedback from people on this board as they don't know you and it will be reading your essay as the admissions committee does. 2) same with interviews. When you get an interview invite, practice like crazy and only practice with "mean" people 3) ***what I'm really worried about for you are your references. If the essay isn't it, I'm worried there may be one reference that is recommending you with reservation. I would solicit all new references for this next round if you can. And, provide your references with a sample outline of some strengths to highlight. You need to ask each one honestly if they can give you the highest recommendation (emphasize this is your 3rd round applying).

Thanks for the compliments. When I applied last year, my Verbal GRE was much lower (153) and I had only completed 10 hours of military PT observation. I hope the improvements I've made since will make the difference this year!
