ahh I can't really complain though, my medstar hospital's residency recently joined with the medstar combined hospitals, if they still had their independent residency, they would definitely honor their commitment for an interview for the medical students that rotated with them

Protip. If you're writing out an LOI email to a program. Don't fill in the "To:" address line until you are done to prevent accidentally sending an email and ruining your chances. Good luck.

I was offered an interview at UPMC Pinnacle (Harrisburg) which I recently declined for scheduling reasons, so I know there's at least one spot out there, haha.

technically they're right, they're still reviewing applicants for that 1 open interview date, and possibly for their waitlist as well, could also just be a last minute cancellation though, in which case the spot would to go to their waitlist people if they already put people in their wait list

Same here! I don't have impressive score as at all but I am also taking step 3 on November! Recently just found a connection that allowed me to go sit in the didactics meetings with residents at a FM program here where I live! Hopefully that will help, o/w feeling so anxious and hopeless 🙁
