Hi
Im an "fmg" from japan's "top-tier" med school (still in 2nd yr med school)planning to match in general surg in the us. Ive been doing epidemiology research in surgical anesthesiology as the biostatistician for like 6 months when i got moved to "epidemiological preventive cardiology" research. Concerning the anes research i had one oral presentation at national conference but not anything near publication. The new prev cardio research seems to have better odds though bc the advisor is Super famous but i have to start from scratch with only 2 years left. I have 2 qs.
1) should i continue to do research using old data in anes for publication by myself? The possibilities?
2)which is better for gen surg residency matching, anes or prev cardio?
