Indiana University Class of 2025 Interview/Acceptance Thread

Congratulations to those accepted last night!! Did any of you send a letter of intent? I haven't heard anything from them since my interview in November.
No, they specifically tell you that you don't need to send them anything after the interview. I got accepted and I didn't even send thank you letters after my interview, just got off the waitlist yesterday

were you ever officially told you were on the waitlist?

Anyone think they’ll be sending out more acceptances soon or probably not until the end of next month?

Those that were accepted and have submitted your deposit, where did you find your University ID? Did you call them to ask because I didn't get any info about yet?

Congratulations to all who’ve been accepted this far! Would anyone who’s currently a student or who’s recently been accepted mind if I messaged you for questions?

If you guys are still waiting for an acceptance, I know that in the email the deadline for the $1,000 deposit is February 15. I’m not sure if they’ll send anymore acceptances until after that

Does any one know if Indiana is still doing PBL? and how is their curriculum in general ?

Once you pay the deposit, do they send you anything else besides the standard email confirmation of your payment?

Are interviewers usually very neutral after an interview regardless of how it went? I've heard some stories of interviewers having overwhelmingly positive reactions/hinting that the student would get accepted. Is that normal for Indiana or anywhere for that matter?

Ya interviewers are for the most part neutral. My interview was natural and I really didn’t know what to think of it, but I just got off the waitlist last week

Has anyone who paid their deposit and completed their background check received any addition info from the school?

Can anyone give me list of potentially asked interview questions that IU asks during this cycle?

it was honestly very conversational!
Yeah, I second this! I do not remember any crazy questions but they asked me how I felt about living in Indy. For every school you interview at, you should seem like you really want to live there!

I got some random questions. Nothing wildly difficult. A couple for example: Tell us about a time where you experienced something difficult and didn't think you'd recover or If you were in an accident and your dominant hand was no longer of use, what career would you pursue and why.

I really think they mix it up a lot, though. Be prepared for why dentistry, or why Indiana. I can agree with the fact it was very conversational - the interviewers were so nice. Hope this helps

Second this. I also got random questions. I was asked for some situational questions but it was not super hard and they wanted to listen to your logic.

Did anyone get any ethical/scenario questions at IUSD interview this cycle?

For anyone who has been accepted, have you received an acceptance letter in the mail yet?

I think they hold the same weight as everything else. Indiana goes through a holistic approach and if they waited to interview a ton of people in January and February and still haven’t got back to people who interviewed in October then they want to look at everyone’s application in whole and then make a decision so I don’t think the interview is the main factor like some other schools
I second this
