I received this e-mail today:

1/6/09-DEFICIENT AP SCORES FOR BIOLOGY- We can accept a copy you have (FAX: 515-294-8341, ATTN: Dr. M. Howard) until an official copy can be mailed to us. Please correct this deficiency by 11/20/09. (mh)

Does anyone know if i need to send my official AP scores to them? I guess I assumed it was on the transcripts.. oh welll.. wow the stress. Does anyone know if this is a good sign that I am at least hearing contact? Thanks for any input!!

Well, not sure if I would call it a "good" or "bad" sign. I think it may be more of just a notification. They notified me that I had a deficient requirement, one of my classes didn't satisfy the anat/physiology requirement, and I emailed them that I would take a certain course in spring. So no on my application status is a notice of the deficiency and a notice that I have solved the deficiency. Its been there for a while. I would email the contact they gave you. They were really helpful with me trying to select the proper course. Do you know when we are even supposed to hear from Iowa?

Thanks radio2020, I went ahead and contacted the school and they told me that I need to send the actual scores within the next week and my application won't be held back, they were also very helpful answering my questions.

According to the website:
Notification of application status
February 15, 2010

Hope to hear from them soon though!! 🙂 <-- positive thinking

Iowa State lets out-of-state applicants know about interviews usually the last few weeks of November or first few week of December. In-state applicants will hear about interviews in December or January. February 15th, the date posted on the website, is the official date that interviewees will hear about their overall application status.
