Congrats to all you have interviewed & may be interviewing tomorrow! I’m a first year student if you guys have any questions! Go Cats!
It was 25 minutes with about 20 minutes of answering their questions and 5 minutes of them answering yours. However, I think it depends on how the interviewers feel because they gave me like 10 minutes to ask questions and chat 🙂 I know they have your file in front of them b/c one of my interviewers said he could see my grades but they never asked about anything on my file.Interviewing tomorrow morning! After Purdue’s interview, I’m excited to be talking face to face with people. How long did the interview take? Did they ask questions about details in your application?
That’s weird! I was told 6 weeks at the max but generally 2-3 weeks. I hope it’s sooner!Had my interview! I definitely rambled but I think overall it went better than my interview with purdue. Does anyone know if they will be calling or emailing? The ambassador said we should know within 10 days, but she got hers 4 days after her interview last year

They mentioned they had my application in front of them but they didn’t ask anything specific- it was more like “in these experiences you have listed , where do you think you learned the most” etcDid they ask you about anything from your application?
Did they ask you any “off the wall” questions to try to shake you? They mentioned they had my application in front of them but they didn’t ask anything specific- it was more like “in these experiences you have listed , where do you think you learned the most” etc
They asked how veterinarians could’ve prevented the pandemic 😬Did they ask you any “off the wall” questions to try to shake you?
Oh wow! Did you know how to respond? They asked how veterinarians could’ve prevented the pandemic 😬
I just talked about veterinarians role in educating people and one health! It was a little vague but I was happy to have something readyOh wow! Did you know how to respond?
That’s weird our ambassador said such different things, I hope it’s on the sooner side rather than laterJust finished my interview. It wasn’t too terrible. I did stutter during a few questions, so that’s not great but I did my best. The ambassador said it could be 2-6 weeks until we hear back.
Oh what did yours say? Because I mean 2-6 weeks is kind of a big window, so she may have just been guessing. I’m hoping it’s more like 2 weeks. That’s weird our ambassador said such different things, I hope it’s on the sooner side rather than later
She said within 10 days but maybe she was just speaking from her own experienceOh what did yours say? Because I mean 2-6 weeks is kind of a big window, so she may have just been guessing. I’m hoping it’s more like 2 weeks.
That would be awesome! Yeah I thought 6 weeks was a bit excessive. She said within 10 days but maybe she was just speaking from her own experience
So it sounds like it could be anytime from now to February 😥 I’ll just be spending the month panicking every time I get an emailLast year we got decisions three weeks after. I think the last interviews were the weekend of the 11th and we got decisions on the 31st. The year before that I believe they got them the Monday after the last interview weekend.

Meeeee 😂😂Anybody else have a heart attack when they got the email about a post-interview survey 😥 also guess it’s confirmed 6 weeks.. that feels so long
Omg yes! I almost threw up hahaAnybody else have a heart attack when they got the email about a post-interview survey 😥 also guess it’s confirmed 6 weeks.. that feels so long
Yes I thought I was going to pass out when I saw the email. Also, what makes you say that it’s confirmed to be 6 weeks until we hear back?Anybody else have a heart attack when they got the email about a post-interview survey 😥 also guess it’s confirmed 6 weeks.. that feels so long
Well within 6 weeks is what I meant, because that’s what they said in the email- I was under the assumption that we would hear a lot sooner but now I’m not going to expect anything for a few more weeksYes I thought I was going to pass out when I saw the email. Also, what makes you say that it’s confirmed to be 6 weeks until we hear back?
I love how we were all told different time frames lol. Someone was told within 10 days and you were told 10 weeks.Oh yes I see that now in the email. I was still partially blacked out from the mini panic attack when I read it. Okay well I was told 10 weeks, so I guess 6 weeks is better.
Thank you so much for the insight! 🙂I think the confusion is that the ambassadors weren't given a timeframe except maybe within 6 weeks. We were guessing from the past. A lot of times within 6 weeks could be 6 days or 6 weeks. Start of semester was delayed and we don't start until Monday where normally we would have already started and everyone would have time to focus on finishing up the acceptances. Now they are doing that and getting ready for classes to start with all the COVID protocols, determining the size of the class they want for next year, etc. I'm not sure they are sure how their workload is going to fall during this and didn't want to give you too early a date they couldn't meet. They want to get them done as soon as possible too! They don't like people waiting too long and will get it done as fast as they can. I know it is hard to wait. Hang in there and good luck.
Every second of the day😪Is anyone constantly checking their emails or is it just me?![]()

I’ve just been assuming at any point within 6 weeks, and I believe someone said email earlier in the threadI thought decisions were not until roughly 6 weeks after the interview date?
Does anyone know if they make calls or just send out emails with final decisions?
It has varied over the last few years, one year it was 2 weeks after the last round of interviews, and one year it was only 4-5 days. I think they gave a longer timeline this year because of reasons mentioned above. Also, from my previous experience with the application process they just e-mail!I thought decisions were not until roughly 6 weeks after the interview date?
Does anyone know if they make calls or just send out emails with final decisions?
I still check my email every 15 minutes even though they emailed us saying it could be 6 weeks until a decision is made. It’s a habit now to just need to check my email lolIs anyone constantly checking their emails or is it just me?![]()
Did you interview with Kansas?Fortunately, I was accepted to my IS school, so Kansas is no longer a financially viable option for me being OOS, I am here for my masters now and absolutely love the facilities, I will miss it here, hence why I am sill lurking the thread 🤣
