Hello. So here's a summary of my present situation. I applied early like the first week, finished all my secondaries as soon as they were sent to me as well. However, my school uses a committee letter and they still haven't uploaded it. It's frustrating since I went out of my way to get all my stuff done and the one part that is being held up is completely out of my control. Do schools simply not care about your application if your committee letter is held up? I'm extremely annoyed honestly, it's getting pretty late and I really wanted to get my business done early. Thanks in advance.

Your application is not complete (from the schools' perspective) until you have in everything they require, including LORs. So yes, it will not be considered until it is uploaded. Perhaps look into going around your school's committee and getting individual letters if the difference in time will be significant.

This is why when I had my professors send their letters to the committee, I had them send spare copies to interfolio in case my committee said they'd be late (they were late). So if you can snag those independent letters and send those, that'd be nice.

If not, don't stress, there's nothing you can do about it. Relax and enjoy yourself :) If it helps ease your stress, there is a chance that your schools won't look at your letters until the day of your interview (Maryland is one I know for sure).

It's still early. If you'll notice, hardly any interviews have been given out. Your letter will likely come by mid-August, which, again, is still plenty early for all the interviews you are destined to get. It's annoying to attempt to be patient now, but you have to try.

I appreciate the replies fellows. I read from several sources that going around the committee letter is frowned upon and I doubt they'd take my word over the committee. I really hope you're right Aintnobodygottimefordat >:\ Hum...and on top of it all I'm pretty sure the committee would refuse to send my letter in if they found out I was sending stuff in behind their back.

You'll be thankful for the committee letter. It lets you bypass all the different specific LoR requirements schools have.
