Hey atleast you are so close to being accepted..I am in the middle 30% and Jackie told me last week that I still had about 20 ppl ahead of me on the alternate list. I too am trying to be optimistic but it's so hard because school does start really soon. I hope we both get accepted soon! I wonder if alot of ppl got called at the very end last yr?

I thought they accepted 120 people? Also, in the past everyones gotten in but Jackie is no longer as confident. I was in the middle and the last time I talked to her she didn't give much info and said I should go for my other school. I'll try and see where I am on the list (she told me I was like directly in the middle of the list..no percentage). That should give everyone an even better idea! Once I sign a lease in Atlanta I'll decline my altenate spot at Lecom!

So, she couldn't give an exact number but she said more than 25 people are ahead of me at this point. WOW talk about having an alternate that is way too long. And I was in the middle of the list, that's crazy!
Yeah the list is moving extremely slow...but Jackie did e-mail me this morning telling me that i've moved up to #5 on the list and they have had a few more drops and she will keep me posted. Just keeping my fingers crossed at this point.
on a side note are you moving up to Suwanee area if you do not get into lecom? Because I live in Georgia and i'm 15 minutes from Suwanee.

You'll def get in!!! Stop worrying!!! And yes I'm moving to suwanee! Looking at apartments now and driving up again tomorrow to look. I had a roommate and apartment but the owner said no pets and i have 2 cats. So now I have to look at some places from remax and maybe centurypointe and riverside and i really like the overlook at gwinnett stadium. If you have any suggestions for places to live that'd be awesome! Is suwanee nice? From what I could tell when I was there it seemed like a nice family area.
Ya suwanee is a nice area try looking for places in Duluth if you must my brothers girlfriend lives in Duluth at these apartments I forget what they are called but it's a nice place and pet friendly and it's about 15 minutes from suwanee. And I hope I get in and if you need any directions I'm familiar with suwanee area.
So very disappointing to hear all this right now. I was told I was also in the middle 30% "almost directly in the middle" as Brunetteb89. Seeing as I submitted my application in february I greatly hurt my chances, and thus my only hope is/was LECOM. Most schools recently told me that I should have applied earlier bc my PCAT was way above their average and my GPA was "decent" lol. 🙁
That sucks man I had to turn down Midwestern-CCP because I figured the Lecom list would be moving faster. I was told I was in the top 30% and I still have not been called I feel your pain. Hopefully things work out
Yea...so I was reading these things and seriously thank God I am not the only one....I have been getting sick waiting so long to do all this mess. It is horrible. I really REALLY want to go here.....however when I have been checking for the past few weeks...I was first at the 30% mark, then she told me a week and a half ago i had 25 people in front of me, so I have been terrified to call.
I have just denied my acceptance to PCOM and I am also accepted to Nova. So I am just waiting and getting ridiculously stressed.......

I'm with you on that one. I'm a nervous wreck right now because if I don't get into Lecom I don't know what i'm gonna do for the next year... And I hope to hear something this coming week since I am #5 on the list so I can maybe start looking for a place to stay and a roommate ...

dude you will so get in, #5...at least you know. I have no idea where I am and I am afraid to call Jackie, she knows me by name and voice now, but this is the school for me and I really want to go here. However, I am also accepted to Nova, so I do hope you get in because I know LECOM is all you are riding on. So I hope you get it dude. However, selfishly, I hope we both do, lol.

I called Jackie's office today like 3 times and she didn't answer.......so sadly no new updates on my end
I just got the acceptance call so the list is moving again since I was number 5 and got the call. Good luck man I hope you get in just keep strong I think a lot of students are getting calls elsewhere and the list is gonna pick up as those students drop.

Has everyone from the top 30% already been accepted? I am in the middle 30% and am scared to death because I still have 12 people ahead of me on the list and there are about 13 days until orientation starts! I don't know if I am going to get in or not!
While I can't give you an accurate speculation I think I was at the bottom of that top 30% of the list and I just recently got called last week so the list should be moving again since a lot of schools are sending offers out I've been frantically trying to get this matriculation packet done so be ready for the call because I surely wasn't
I have been talking to jackie for the past week now and as of today there are still 12 people in front of me. There hasn't been a single drop in the past week. Even jackie says that she doubts there will be 13 acceptances in the next week. I wish we all were in the same situation as last year and could have all been accepted! 🙁

I got oct 21st too! I'm really nervous because I have a lab class on the 20th and a flight from CA will probably take at least 5 hours . I might not be able to sleep due to all the stress. 😴

I'm from CA too. The flights I looked up were like 8+ hours and not at convenient times for me. 🙁 Are you thinking of landing at Tampa or Sarasoto-Bradenton airport?

No, I'm still waiting for PharmCAS to mail out my app. I thought it would go this Monday but I guess it won't be sent until next Monday.
I can't find a clear answer on the LECOM's webpage about doing a supplemental so I was curious if those who already have an interview can let me know.

I checked my pre-reqs last night. They said I am 3 credits deficient in english (I took 6 credits of writing, but maybe they want 3 in literature, it doesn't say on the PharmCAS site) I also am 3 credits deficient in Psychology. But I do have my BS. I am currently working on my MS.
I sent an e-mail last night asking about the pre-reqs and how I can fill them? If I will get an interview/acceptance with out having them completed. I've been down the wait list road before and I am not going to take more undergrad classes while working on a graduate degree unless there is some big promise.
Does anyone know if they will interview you with a class or two outstanding? Also I know they asked for an e-mail plan of completion. But now I kind of think my e-mail questioning exactly how the procedure works before submitting a plan will just hold things up.
So if anyone knows anything that would be awesome 🙂

I have the Eng pre-req problem as well. I was told that if it's writing intensive and you have proof (course description), you can get that requirement waived. Maybe you can try to do that? I've sent the syllabus to the course I took for approval. 🙂

What are your guys' stats if you don't mind me asking. LECOM doesn't have a minimum for the PCAT thank goodness.

Blah of course I e-mailed them questioning the course update procedure... that is going to slow me down at least a week. Yeah and I don't get it. I took 2 semesters of writing. WRT 101/102, generally many schools count this as english. I'll have to see. As for psychology I can't see that they wouldn't interview me being deficient in this one class. I have a degree!
Meanwhile that should exempt me from the PCAT requirement as well. Not that I don't have the PCAT. So it got sent anyway. So I wonder if they still really look at that.

I'm a P1. The interview is pretty standard. Its a 1 on 1 interview with faculty plus a 30 minute writing sample. Everyone here is very friendly. The staff especially will take really good care of all you guys. Jackie Grosser is definitely the woman to talk to regarding application and interview questions.
Read the SDN interview feedback threads. Read the previous LECOM bradenton prepharmacy threads. Make sure you know all the different aspects of pharmacy practice and brush up on current events in health care.
If you get accepted and decide to come here, I recommend taking at least 1 semester (2 is better) of A&P and biochem. It will help with 1st year classes.
Also, I'm from CA as well. There's a growing population of CA students here. All the UCs are pretty strongly represented with the largest group coming from UCSD.
I also don't think the PCAT is required this year if you have a bachelors degree.
