Hey All - Congrats to those accepted 👍 and good luck to those on the waitlist.
I started up a Facebook group for accepted students who plan on matriculating @ LECOM-E for the DO program. It'd also be nice if a few current students wanted to join and give their 2 cents to new students.
Any one interested in joining the link is below.
I couldn't find one - but If someone already started one of these let me know and I'll delete the group.

I want one of those apts too! Apparently they fill up real quickly?I understand, I have resisted the urges to start looking at apts, I know if I start it will only make things worse. However by the time the first of the year comes around I will probably start looking. I would really like one of those apts right next to campus.

My understanding is that there's usually a waiting list 60 to 80 people long for the apartments closest to LECOM (but some of those will end up getting housing elsewhere and forget to remove themselves from the waiting lists they're on.) Seems like the best advice if you want one is to get on the waiting list as soon as you know you're definitely coming to Erie. The owners also price gouge a bit due to the high demand--the apartments closest to LECOM are usually quite a bit more expensive--definitely look for a roommate there unless you have an extra source of income (family, spouse, job, et cetera.)Any idea what is really quickly? If you want one have it booked by March? Feb? Jan?

My portal has said my application has been under review since 09/20. I was just wondering if they send e-mail updates or if you have to keep checking the portal. Usually schools send a complete email but just received one saying the supplemental has been processed. I am OCD by now and keep checking the portal a couple times of day for an interview invite, but it's only been a couple of days haha

Can any current/former LECOM-E students who have families (spouse/SO/kids) comment on how life in Erie is for them? Jobs, things-to-do, childcare, schools, safety, etc.?
The general idea of things that I got from recruitment people and two current students I spoke with was that there are jobs if you are willing to work, and childcare is pretty cheap, crime is low. Schools I haven't heard anything about.
And yes, I know it snows. A lot. A lot lot. Is that just a required answer whenever someone asks about Erie, PA???? 🙂
I am currently an MS-II at the Erie pathway, in the ISP pathway. I am a married mother of 2 children, ages 12 and 7. Lots of students have families and the area is very family friendly and safe. When looking for housing, be sure that you are not in the city of Erie. The campus borders the city of Erie and Millcreek township. The schools are much better in Millcreek (and the other outlying townships). There are also a few small towns a short distance from campus that many people are able to afford renting a house. A friend of mine rents a house in Waterford (10 miles south of Campus). She and her husband have a large house, large yard and a barn for their horse!

the only thing it says under my application status is "your application is currently under review." When I go under requirments etc. it says that my letter requirments are not yet met. however I know they don't ask for them unless your invited for an interview so.....am I invited for an interview? I am frickin confused/anxious right now. Please tell me ill be hearing from them?! lol
Dangit lol cmon!!!! Thanks btw
Mine was processed on July 29th but still under reviewed...🙁 I have sent a couple emails to them but there is no response from them...
Did anyone else apply to Seton Hill and Erie?
When I filled out my secondary, I listed Seton Hill as top choice, as I am most interested in PBL and it's close to Pittsburgh and would be easier for my boyfriend to find a job... I had a hard time choosing though. The more I look into it, the more I think Erie is a better fit - I'm not sure if we can change our selection or if it even matters. Some people have posted about getting into both programs. Any thoughts?
I submitted my secondary 8/13 and received the interview invite 8/23 for Erie/ Seton Hill. Submitted 8/13 to Bradenton and received review notice (application to be presented again to committee) 9/17.
For people who have already interviewed. Where do we go the day of the interview? In the email I received for the interview invitation, I was only given an address.
Location: 1858 West Grandview Blvd, Erie, PA
Is there anywhere specific I need to go or are there further directions inside that address?.
Thanks.
The address is good enough. They only have one building there and you just have to go into the front door. Someone will be waiting for you at the front desk.

I finally got my interview invite for 11/11 after being "under review" since july 1st!! Anyone else going then?
Interview invite for November 11th as well! I was complete 8/4. Phew, I think I blew my speakers out just now.
FYI, the "front door" isn't the large door facing W. Grandview blvd. From W. Grandview, turn into the drive way at the light in front of the school and follow the driveway all the way down hill to the big parking lot. Go through through the doors facing the big parking lot (the door that the herd of students will be going through).
I've been searching around the threads for the last 20 minutes, but I can't find any info on people's interview experiences at LECOM. Does anybody have any links?
Danke shane, darlin', danke shane.
Can someone do me a favor? If you have been accepted and also have pre-reqs to take, will you check your portal and see if it still says you need to take them? I believe it is under "folder items". I am asking because I thought I needed to take a pre-req, but its been checked off as being met (which isn't unreasonable because I've taken several similar classes, so they may have been fine with those that I've taken).
This happened to me post-interview. Pre-interview I was deficient psych credits and enrolled in a psych course, interviewed, got accepted and they listed the credits as completed. What's weird is that there is no way they could have known that I had enrolled in the course, other than that I had vaguely mentioned that at some point I would do so.
