I had this issue prior to my interview in December. I contacted them about this and they said that my application was actually under review, even though it was not showing that in the portal. I then received my interview invite not too long after.
So my status bar jumped from "waiting for review" to "a decision has been made" without ever really being on the "under review" area.
I would reach out to just ask about your particular status, but I wouldn't worry to much about it 🙂

I know at my zoom session admissions said class is full everyday but they also have people dropping everyday, so I would say likely a WL initially that will turn into an A.

I went to their campus day last month, at the end of our session they told us all spots were filled. It was discouraging to hear, but they reassured us movement happens and to expect calls. Basically, they rank you on the wl and basically go down the list until someone accepts their offer and pays the deposit.

Don't lose hope. I was wl from lecom-b the monday after my campus day, and received an acceptance call literally a week later. Funny enough, I received another acceptance for lecom erie the day after.

It's all about movement. With the deadline approaching for both aamc and aacomas to have accepted students confirm their top choice, people sitting on multiple acceptances will withdraw and create a domino effect of open spots.

Hmmm I'm not sure how they rank it, but I will say I wrote them a letter before my interview detailing my interest in the school and some updates and they really seemed to appreciate it, and made it seem like it was important. Maybe try an update/continued interest letter (or intent if its your top). Flamingos definitely do belong in Florida- I'm rooting for you!! When I got the call they also said there has been a good amount of WL movement, so maybe in the next few weeks you'll hear.

Check the SDN LECOM Bradenton Interview page for questions. Make sure you know the basics: why Lecom, why D.O. etc.
Try to incorporate some personal examples/ anecdotes from your own experiences (academic and extracurriculars) when answering questions that ask how you would handle certain scenarios, etc.
A lot of the interview questions have to do with Lecom itself, so make sure to read up on Lecom Bradenton (go through website). You don’t need to know too many details, but know the basics.
Overall, it is pretty chill so don’t be too nervous. If you are prepared, you will do great!!

Honestly, don’y worry about the info. session. The tips were nothing new or specific to LECOM. Just be prepared, read up on LECOM Bradenton, dress professionally, don’t have a distracting background, make sure you have good lighting, and be comfortable speaking on camera/ recorded video. Those were all the tips I remembered they gave.

I'm thoroughly confused about the group interview. I submitted the asynchronous video responses. Is getting admitted without going to campus for a group interview is rare or common? If it isn't required, what's the purpose, the potential gain, and the risk?

From what they mentioned when I attended, you get “brownie points” for attending, so it increases your chances of an acceptance. However, not attending won’t HURT your application. They said they have a ranking system for their waitlist as well so attending would bring you up on the list

Also- how are you all reconciling with the negative reviews online about this school? I want to feel optimistic about the opportunity but a lot of what I’ve heard worries me. Does anybody have thoughts on that or positive experiences they can share? I personally don’t care too much about the dress code or the water bottle rule- I’m more concerned with what everybody keeps referring to as the “incredibly toxic environment.” Is there any merit to that?

Where did you hear about the group interview? I submitted my asynchronous video a couple weeks ago but haven’t heard anything about an in-person group interview.

Same. I was waitlisted a couple months ago and never heard anything about a group interview.
I know they have an optional on-campus day, but didn’t think that included a group interview.

Also- how are you all reconciling with the negative reviews online about this school? I want to feel optimistic about the opportunity but a lot of what I’ve heard worries me. Does anybody have thoughts on that or positive experiences they can share? I personally don’t care too much about the dress code or the water bottle rule- I’m more concerned with what everybody keeps referring to as the “incredibly toxic environment.” Is there any merit to that?

My friend attends LECOM Bradenton (in her third year I think) and has said that it is a super supportive environment! She has told me that her classmates and especially the faculty are all very caring and supportive. She even told me that this is one of her favorite things about LECOM!

I haven't heard back after interviewing a week and half ago and I see that request
