Yes, the WL is ranked. Attending on-campus days and submitting LOIs apparently helps a lot with getting off the WL.
 
Interviewed back in July, went to On-Campus day, sent LOI, haven’t gotten a response back :/

Same. Was expecting something by now. Have they already sent post-interview rejections or do they batch those all at once? Wondering if maybe I’m stuck on that list somewhere haha.
 
How late LECOM Bradenton will conduct interviews? In other words when the interviews will end? Appreciate a reply.
 
I’m OOS WL at LECOM-B but have an A at another DO school. LECOM-B is still my #1 choice, but the other school starts early July, so I’ll be looking at housing near this other school if I don’t hear back from LECOM-B in a week. What if they take me off WL when I’ve already secured housing? What do people do in these situations? 🙃

this is just my opinion but here it is:

first thing to consider is how much more you want LECOM-B than your other school. you have to know that for yourself, you can post on SDN if you want the experts to weigh in on your options. but that needs to be decided before you make this decision.

if it's not much more, then:
1. find your housing in a reasonable timeframe to allow you to get what you want at a price you're okay with.
2. once you secure your housing and financially commit, withdraw from LECOM-B.

if it's much more, then:
1. wait until the last minute to find housing, but understand that prices may jump since they usually do in summer and you may not be able to get what you want depending on availability. this applies to if you don't end up getting in and have to look near other school, and also if you do end up getting in and have to look near LECOM-B.
2. you hang on until you're forced to move, and then once you do, you can STILL withdraw from other school and take LECOM-B offer if LECOM starts much later, but think about the hassle that would be and if it's worth it to you.

the price of LECOM tuition may make the initial "stupid" financial decision of breaking your lease and having to pay the price financially, worth it in the long run. but you have to calculate that out yourself and also factor in the stress of moving twice and being in that craze of starting somewhere else and then switching schools if it does come to that.

personally, i was in this scenario with LECOM Erie and decided to look for housing during my accepted students weekend at my other school, and decided that once i signed my lease, i wasn't gonna mess around on waitlists anymore and i was gonna commit to my other school. i also can't move in mid-july due to personal events happening then, so i have to move in june and don't have the flexibility to wait around till july to hear back.

but you do you! there isn't a right choice if you're willing to live with the consequences of either decision. it's really a personal scenario. people have been successful and done it on both sides of the spectrum. best of luck!

Phew what a ride this will be. I seriously appreciate your two cents/guidance because I was at a loss for words. Other school is new and probably won’t see federal loans until my 2nd or 3rd year or who knows when with how uncertain things are with the Dept of Education is right now. Gambling all around. Thanks so much for your thorough reply!

For the group interview aside from a dress shirt/tie, should I also wear a blazer?
 
I emailed last week asking for an update since it has been over the three to six week mark since my interview, and they responded that it is rolling admissions and to just keep checking my email and portal. So I unfortunately didn’t get an update but I’m still waiting to hear back soon.
 
Hoping to get off the waitlist this week or I’m actually going to crash out 😭
 
Just received an email asking if I’m still interested in retaining my spot on the waitlist - does this mean I am near the top of the waitlist?
 
Anyone else on the WL get an email about being still interested? Just wondering what this means, if I’ll get off WL soon or if it’s just for their general knowledge?

Just got one too 🥲 Through my thorough forum research lol, it seems that this is a good sign, but because it’s so close to school starting, I don’t know if it means less. ? ??
 
I got the email too! I really hope this is a good sign that people will start getting off the waitlist!
