The only information they gave about the admissions process is that interview invites get handed out on Tuesdays/Wednesdays for the following Monday being the interview date.

Does anybody know if they’ve sent out acceptances since 8/30?
 
I know this has been asked but I’ll ask again lol. The spring class is not full, correct? Is there a historical timeline on when another wave of acceptances will go out? It’s so confusing- I put fall preference but was pulled so quickly for an interview it has me psyched out thinking they could be looking at me for spring, especially since spring isn’t full. The waiting is a killer. None of my other schools will have any news until December earliest.
 
Does anyone know when they sent the first batch of acceptances for Fall/Spring last year? I saw one thread say as early as 3 days after their interview last September. There timeline confuses me!

if it helps, I interviewed in July of last year and got my acceptance for the Spring cohort on October 10th, there was only one or two other batches of acceptances before me.

Hey. I submitted my application the same day. I did not get verified until the following Wednesday, past the deadline. I thought LMU was a school that needed verification before the deadline. Did you get verified after the deadline as well ? Hoping my application will not get tossed.

Hey! I was verified before the deadline. I do not think you had to be by the deadline, maybe call and ask them though.

I feel the same exact way... especially since this is my top it is making the waiting even harder

I saw someone on FB ask what to expect for their interview so I am assuming they just sent out for another batch possibly yesterday

Were you the last “batch”? I know they give them out sometimes til the last minute as things shift but with a Jan start I’m assuming they’d send out a big push in October so everyone has time to get their housing and finances in order.

I agree it’s super confusing and there’s a lot of misinformation on the APVMA Facebook page.

From my understanding (someone please correct me if I’m wrong)

1) Applicants indicate fall or spring or either as preference but not a guarantee
2) this means you could put fall, but actually be offered a seat for spring

As of right now:
3) Spring (January) is not full
4) There are people who put their preference as spring who have NOT been invited to interview
5) No new “batch” of acceptances for spring have been sent in the last several weeks
6) NO seats fall will be offered until Spring is full, and that could be very late December or even up to the class start date of Jan 6 (?)
 
During the Q&A session last week Holly said they are still interviewing for BOTH cohorts but wouldn’t give out any further information on admissions.

The only other thing she said was be yourself during the interview.

Okay thank you this makes sense! I think December sounds more realistic then... so we wait!

Nope! I was only the second or third batch, they gave acceptances right up to orientation
 
Does anyone know if there is a spring waitlist? Or do they just send out acceptances until people accept all the seats?

Acceptances until the seats are filled. Last cycle acceptances were sporadic but tended to fall on Tuesdays and Thursdays ~ ish. They didn’t rlly have a rhyme or reason

The previous acceptances were sent out on the last business day of the month (8/30) and there haven’t been any sent out for the month of September. Thats the only reason I was thinking it might be today, but chances are its completely random and i’m just getting my hopes up

Even if you designated fall if you have all the completion (even in some cases not completed prerequisites) they can and will offer you spring if they feel necessary. If this is the case and you cannot complete the prerequisites before jan you will be deferred to the next January cohort. You can also decide to be placed back in the pool for consideration for fall.

Do you (or anybody else here) know if they prioritize giving spots to people who designated spring on their application before offering spring spots to fall applicants?

If you designated spring I think you definitely have a priority for the spring I think they end up having to pull people who designate fall because less people designate only spring preference

I designated that I was open to both cohorts, so i’m not sure if i’d still have a priority for spring in that case. I’m hoping for the best though

I graduate from undergrad in December. Would they potentially offer me spring because of my availability?

I only indicated I wanted fall cohort because I feel I need more of a mental break before vet school, but if they only offered me spring I would for sure take it.
 
Okay so my new guess for the next round of acceptances is Oct 16th (since I believe current accepted applicants have until the 15th to decide). I’m hoping that i’m wrong and that it’ll actually be sooner than that though

This is me. I have seven apps out. The only one I’ll get an answer from before LMU would start in Jan would be my IS which gives decisions around the middle of December. However, if LMU offers me Jan I plan to say yes- I don’t want to risk being put back in the pool for fall, and financially it’s not that huge of a difference from the other OOS on my list. Now….if my IS says yes, I’ll be in a pickle because it’s half the cost. So it would be a little scrambling to withdraw I guess but that’s what I’d do. I put fall preference but was pulled for an interview so fast I’m psyching myself out thinking they might ask me for spring.

All that to say….I could be totally wrong and not get a yes for spring OR fall!

Does anyone who got an interview want to compare stats? Not sure if that will make it better or worse. The “hurry up and wait” is a KILLER. Again, Best of luck to all.
