Do they do acceptances on Thursdays?? Has anyone asked admissions on their timeline?

They don’t have a timeline for acceptances, so it could be any day at any time. Usually interviews are sent out tues & thurs but acceptances are random.

Is anyone else a second time applicant that was waitlisted and denied for the fall? I have seriously been checking my email for LMU everyday since interviewing October 11th, 2023 🤣😭

Hopefully I won’t have to wait much longer 🤞

My understanding is they won’t send out any rejections until February or March, regardless of which cohort you selected to be admitted to. If you hear from them, it should only be for interview invites or acceptances right now!

This is correct. LMU reviews and sends out on a rolling basis starting with the spring semester. Until the spring semester is full they will not send any fall semester decisions. Rejections last year were ultimately sent out after all classes were full. Usually spring isn’t full until around Nov/December

Yes and no. If you are offered a spot for the spring cohort you can either
1. Accept
2. Decline completely
3. Decline and be placed back into the pool for fall seats
4. Defer to the next SPRING semester

If you opt for option 3 you will be placed back into the overall pool to be evaluated for a fall spot but receive no preference and may not be chosen again to be accepted for the fall. You will not receive an acceptance that says you have been accepted for spring and fall it will always distinguish which semester you’ve been accepted for!

Mainly my GPA was too low and had about 20 in progress/planned courses. This year I received an interview due to my GPA being higher so now just waiting to hear from them!

Congrats!! So it sounds like more immediate rejections are due to not meeting requirements possibly, but any others may not be until spring?

Yes I called Heather then I called the admin office they transfer me to Heather again, I don’t know who else I should contact to.

I called around September 26th I believe and was told that the next set of acceptances would be sent out soon, so i’m hoping any day now. It’s possible that they already sent out another set of acceptances but none of us received one, but i’m hoping thats not the case.

I was quite literally told “they will be coming out soon” so unfortunately i’m not sure. They said that there isn’t a specific timeline, it’s random based on when they’re ready.

Had my interview today and I thought it was so relaxed! Everyone was so nice and it went by so quick. This is my 4th application cycle, 2nd time applying to LMU and 1st time interviewing with them. Fingers crossed!

I also had my interview today! I had a moment where I feel like I was stumbling on my words a bit and wasn't sure what to say, but hopefully my answer was sufficient to keep me in the running.

Spring is definitely not full they usually don’t send enough acceptances to fill the seats in 1 round it was around 2-3/ maybe 4 last year. It seems everything is slower this year with every single school probably because of influx of applicants. It’s so hard but hopefully it’ll be worth it!!

Last year I was like ripping my hair out at this point to hear back from ANY school so trust me I get it. It’s SO HARD to remain positive and trust the process (especially when the process is so demeaning at times)

If you are rejected you are rejected from both cohorts.

I am actually not sure if it's open or closed. It seemed like a closed interview? But I think regardless it's always best to know your application well, e.g., your personal statement, experiences, or other things you may have included! If you have an interview coming up, good luck! I loved my interview with LMU, they are very kind and easy to talk to!
