LMU C/O 2028

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My acceptance says that they are also offering me a conditional Fall 2024 spot if I wanted that instead but I had until my payment deadline for Spring, Oct 25 to accept either offer. So it depends I guess
They added new language because there was confusion on the spring/fall/either question. No fall 2024 should be offered. Check the language and see if it says you may start in fall or if it clarifies if you preferred fall but were accepted for spring.

Edit to add: CONGRATS btw! For offers and interview invites.

I also had issues with WES. How did that go with LMU? I've been trying to resolve this issue with them but it's been hard to get in touch.
So my issue with WES didn't pop up until I had already been verified and interviewed. I called and emailed and was told that it would not mess with my application since it was an issue on WES' end. I am still expected to give them the updated transcript once it comes in from WES. I really thought I wouldn't even receive an offer until WES got their stuff together but LMU has been very understanding because apparently this happens a lot. I'd call if you haven't already that way you can be direct about what's going on🙂)

For those who are accepting their spring cohort position, how are y'all going about housing? I won't be able to visit until November and am definitely nervous about figuring out a housing situation.

I understand. My situation was slightly different but it seems I'm moving in the right direction. Thanks for your help!

there's a LMU CVM Housing facebook page, the icon is a house shaped like a dog. a lot of people post in there looking for roommates

Does anyone happen to know how many/what proportion of applicants they typically interview?

Aaaaa I finished my interview today and I feel like I completely bombed the third scenario. Does anyone know if everyone that gets an interview are on the "same playing field" or if it just plays a part in the decision? Because I feel like my app is pretty strong its just this interview might screw me over lol

I didn't need any special documentation. I asked her via email and she let me defer without any stipulations other than what I've mentioned earlier. Maybe you and @olsonvet can find a place as roomies 😀. Also @Gangar#094, you the realest and I feel like you're our spy into LMU, may you find a shiny on your journey.
I have also decided to defer to explore my options and to finish my bachelor's degree. Is that all you had to put and it was approved?

Feeling the exact same after the 3rd scenario this morning. Totally fumbled the bag on the last one. Also wishing I had some insight into the admissions formula. None of the interviewers I met are listed in the school's faculty page, does anyone have insight on the makeup of the interview committee? TIA!

I’m sure you will do just fine! I didn’t feel the scenarios I got were super difficult but there are definitely parts I forgot to mentions. But I think I answered okay when they points out those areas with follow up questions. All of my interviewers I met stated they are faculty, I didn’t look up on the website but maybe it’s not updated regularly? I feel like many universities does a bad job keeping their website up to date lol

Mine also stated they were faculty at the beginning. They like introduced themselves and how they were related to the university

I had my interview today too. I didn't love the questions or my answers, but I don't think it was awful. I feel the same way I did after the casper test........ Indifferent. I have no idea whether I did awful or incredible lol. I usually have a good idea how good/bad I've done on interviews or tests, but not with these.

Do you remember the names of the people that interviewed you by chance?

Also did you guys send thank yous after the interview? Tbh I forgot the names of the people except for one that interviewed me LOL

You can reach out to admissions and ask - they may provide you the names so you can send a thank you.

LMU uses primarily LMU-CVM Faculty I believe.

Congrats to all who got interviews and got accepted!

I got accepter for Spring 2024 but decided to defer until Spring 2025 so I could wait and see about other school offers. Also, I'm going to tour on November 17th, anybody else touring on that day?

I’m stilled confused if us interviewed today is being considered for only fall 2024 or also for the spring start date. It was specified in any emails I received earlier

If there are seats available it is possible they may consider you for the spring because I believe the original deadline to accept your seat was September and I just got an acceptance a few days ago as I had interviewed later. they told me I had to either accept or decline by the 25th. I chose to defer tho so that opens my seat back up meaning they'd need to fill it with someone else. Hope this helps 🙂

Congratulations to everyone that is moving forward!
Does anyone know what the average Casper quartile is, for the applicants LMU offered interviews too? I was average and feel that maybe it hindered my chances. Would anyone that was offered a seat mind sharing their quartile score?

For those who went on the tour did they show you the different housing options? Also does anyone else plan on bringing their pet with them? This is mine and I hope to bring him with me, he is such a sweetheart.

Hi I did receive a interview offer before my Casper grade was out so I think they are probably evaluated separately

From what I can see, several people are bringing a pet with them; either a cat or dog. During the tour, you get to see all the Ewing aka farm buildings. You are welcome to check out the main campus on your own. The off campus housing is just outside of Cumberland Gap. We just drove by to see the buildings but did not go in.

I was also worried about my Casper score but I was offered a seat even with scoring in the 2nd quartile.

Ok cool, thanks!

I was offered a seat and scored in 1st quartile

Thanks for posting this. I’m worried it matters, but honestly, everything I read says everyone thinks it’s kinda hokey. I hope that’s the case. TBH it seemed kinda like crap to me. What does my personality have to do with how I would handle an imaginary misunderstanding with a foreign exchange student? Fake science is allll I could think of.

Do y’all know of anyone who interviewed early and was eligible for Spring but was only offered a seat for Fall? I was just thinking about it and don’t love my chances if I’m not accepted from a considerably smaller pool of applicants who would be eligible for an earlier start. I marked Fall only but that doesn’t seem to matter much as far as Spring acceptances go

I really don't think they have been doing any fall offers yet. We were told during our tour last week that fall offers won't happen until spring is full. That may be Nov/Dec.

Sorry, I meant last year

I was offered a seat and scored in 1st quartile
This makes me feel a lot better also! I was shocked when I saw my 1st quartile score. I've been working in the field for 3 years full time and have conversations with clients daily, both good and bad. I'm glad they don't seem to weigh it as much because I've been very worried!

how soon after the last round of interviews (the ones in september) did people hear back? wondering how long i’ll have to wait if i interviewed on wednesday (oct 11)

I interviewed on September 18th and got my acceptance for the Spring on Tuesday (October 10th). Fall acceptance may take longer though since they are waiting to fill Spring before they send out any Fall acceptance letters.

I interviewed September 21st and a week later on September 27th got accepted.

Hi everyone!
First-time applicant as a non-traditional student (joined the military after high school and was in for four years before starting college)
I am lucky enough to have an interview at Lincoln Memorial University this week and was hoping for any tips! It's a multiple mini interview platform so I'm not really sure what to expect and was hoping for any advice.

THANKS IN ADVANCE 🙂

I would say come prepared with questions about the school ready. You only spend a few minutes at each station, but if you finish answering the question early you will have time to ask questions. It will set you apart if you can use that extra time to show you’ve done your research on the school/area and ask thoughtful questions. Good luck!!

They were scenario based questions related to vet so really similar to casper but they give you situations around vetmed if that makes sense! I did mine last week and I was very very stressed but it was honestly very laidback so definitely try not to stress too much about it 🙂

Did anyone who had the 15th deadline decline their spot for Spring?

Hello! I am wondering if there is anyone who is still waiting to hear?

Does anyone know how much interview is weighted in the LMU admissions?
