OOS rejection. Congrats to those accepted!!! Anyone accepted want to share your stats?
 
Does anyone have any insight on how many people are typically on the OOS alternate list?

I can! my overall GPA at the time of application was a 3.78, my science GPA at the time of application was a 3.72. I have extracurriculars like study abroad (a lot of leadership experience gained through it), tutoring, working in the veterinary Junior surgery lab, about 6000 hours of small animal experience, 1000 of research experience, NABV conference (national association of black veterinarians). I have more but thats the majority

It’s that and last year they told me it was just a manner of pre requ’s and gathering more experience. So I added more large animal experience and more research and volunteer hours. Just frustrating whenever you put in the work to make it better for that school and still get rejected.
 
OOS alternate with high hopes and low expectations ... Don't stop trying everyone. someone just got in on their 6th try!! It's possible!
 
Do all the portals still say that pre requisite work has not been assessed?
 
Does anyone know if they have a visitation day to tour the campus? If so, is it only for accepted students or are those in alternate positions invited as well?
 
Also, I am more than happy to post anything here on the forum for everyone to see! DM or public makes no difference to me! ☺️ So many people helped me get to where I am even though I did all the heavy lifting. I am here for support or anything else anyone needs because sometimes it takes a village and I want to always uplift my veterinary brothers and sisters 💓

Don’t give up! This is my 3rd time applying and this is the first cycle I’ve gotten an acceptance and interviews/ waitlisted. I’ve gotten rejections from some but this is still an improvement from last time. You can pm me if you want. If you don’t get an acceptance this cycle make sure to ask for application reviews from schools and speak with vets/ vet school applicants to go over your application and see what you can do to improve. There’s so much room to grow!
