&does anyone know anything about Nashville? Like is it boring and country? Lol I’m from south Florida so it would really be a big move/adjustment.
I got some homies at Vandy and Meharry, I think there is a bit to do but being around the HBCU there will always be plenty to do.

Just submitted. That $60 hurt me I can't lie lol. I hope they just throw out some acceptances and we don't have to travel. *Fingers crossed*

I think there might be an interview phase mainly because their most recent email mentioned continuing the application process (the same sentence where they discussed orientation). They didn’t say “if admitted” so idk just an assumption.

Yeah you are most likely right. I'm just not wanting to travel lol.

Hey guys... First time poster in this thread. I interviewed with Meharry in November for dental school so I’m waiting for my time. I moved to Nash after undergrad and I’ve been here 3 years now. There is a lot to do and it’s not just country either lol. The city has grown a lot so you will have your big tourist area on broadway, but it’s a lot. Lot of nature stuff if you’re into that as well. Good luck to everybody and I’m praying for us all.

@Docyoncè

I'm praying there isn't an interview. Grizzlysmiles did mentioned that the people in his class who didn't interview prior to the invitation, didn't have to interview for the program. So I hope that's the case for us.

True story. Maybe those who got invites to apply for the program don't have to interview but those who randomly apply have to. That would be so clutch lol.

Guys I submitted unofficial transcripts via email and they told me they would need the official once accepted
I didn't see a place to submit transcripts on the app, so this is the way to do it then huh? Did you get invited to apply?

We don’t need to submit any transcripts (unofficial or official) at this moment. They only need official transcripts once you’re accepted.
Were you told this? Cause that’s what i was thinking since the app didn’t ask for it

No interview. I take my mcat in 2 weeks so hopefully I don’t have to worry about it.

How y’all got them on the phone I been trying to get a hold of someone for dayssss

Yea if you can reach the MCAT minimum b4 the program starts then do that. You’ll just have to focus to make sure you get that 3.5!
Never thought about that as an option. That’s smart.. i think I’m just to nervous to take the MCAT again , I’ve already take it a couple of times and don’t want to rush to take it again, but really develop a good study method

Regardless I'm trying to knock the MCAT out now lol. That way you can submit your application early.

So if you're accepted to the program and plan to matriculate into the MD program, you have to resubmit an AMCAS application?

If you can possibly take the MCAT or DAT before the program start and get the 501 that you need, you will be saving yourself $1400 which the school charges to your account for the mandatory Kaplan reviews. So I would highly suggest getting the MCAT and DAT at the level it needs to be at before you potentially enroll in the program.

Yes, you have to resubmit your application. But acceptance is essentially guaranteed as long as you meet the GPA requirement, meet the MCAT/DAT requirement, and prove to be a reasonable and responsible student. Professionalism is a very important factor, and they factor it into the syllabus and the contract you sign with the school... The contract is an agreement between you and the school that you will be accepted into your program if you meet all the requirements that I just stated

How were you planning to do this? Do you have a study schedule or MCAT classes that you are taking over the summer?

I plan to take a prep course. And take in July. I need that structure in the midst of working full time.
Yeah i need structure too, but aren’t those classes usually like two month or so long, how I’ll youbtake the MCAT again before the first week of August if you start in July? Sorry if I’m asking too many questions , just curious cause I’m in the same boat and thinking about doing the same. Thanks

Hey I don’t recommend paying for a class. It’s a waste of money...Just set a schedule and use the AAMC guidelines/all AAMC material. I also highly recommend Uworld if you can afford it. It really helps!
