MHA Applicants

Hello Everyone!

I am a first time poster here after discovering this site yesterday. I was glued to this computer because there is so much great information on here. I just wanted to see if there were any MHA applicants out there or if anyone else may have some helpful information for MHA applicants. Here is a list of schools that I have applied to and the status of those applications

UNC- Interview in Mar
SLU- Interview in Feb
Ohio State- Interview in Feb
Penn State- Interview (not set up)
U of Florida- Phone Interview
U of South Florida- application being reviewed, will know in a week
UIC- application being reviewed
Georgetown- application being reviewed
Michigan- yet to hear anything.

I am not going to interview with most of these schools, I have a list and if I get into one of the top schools, I will cut the interviews with the bottom ones. It seems that MPH applicants do not have to interview for schools from reading the forum, is this correct.

If anyone out there is an MHA application or have any helpful information on interviews or anything post please!

My friend has applied there.And they have said that They have mailed a decision on 20th January.Do they E mail first if you are accepted or Atleast get an Interview???

I interveiwed at UNC and the contacted me by email about setting up an interview.

Hi my stats are as follows...

590 GMAT (originally thought I was going to business school)
3.4 GPA

Also studied abroad and had an administrative internship at a big city hospital.

I visited UNC and Cornell and decided Cornell was for me and was accepted to their early admission for fall of '10
If I didn't get into Cornell, Michigan would have been my second choice well over UNC but since I was accepted early I didn't need to.
Stats:
GPA 3.8
GMAT 660
1 Yr work after bachelors, lots of leadership and service.

Have an interview at Rush's "MHA" program in two weeks

1080 GRE
3.9 GPA from BS degree
2yrs healthcare experience as a pediatric/neonatal respiratory therapist and now ECMO specialist
minimal volunteer work as most of my free time was spent on overtime and gaining more clinical experience

i submitted on 12/23 (?). interview 2/5. admitted 2/15.

anyone going to hopkins? really worried about $$$

Much to my surprise I got into Pitt's MHA program yesterday...

I had already gotten into their MPH for Behavioral and Community Health Sciences which was my first choice department.

Apparently i selected the MHA in Health Policy and Management as my second choice department on SOPHAS rather then the MPH. I don't mind so much because, as I said, I already have an acceptance to the dept. I like better @ Pitt as well as some acceptances to other schools but it kinda leaves me wondering...didn't they see that I repeatedly pointed out that I want to get an MPH in my statement? Thats a pretty egregious error to overlook.

I got accepted into the Penn State MHA program about 3 weeks ago, went to the accepted students visiting day and loved it. Just deciding btwn that and Columbia MPH with healthcare mgmt concentration.

stats: 590 GMAT with 6 writing
3.79 GPA in Bio
2 diff undergrad research
leadership conferences/academies from TKE
working at a hospital as an EMT, fd/ems for 4 years, and EMT-CC for 2 months.
