I got an email I was put on the interview waitlist 10/2 but I just checked my status and now it says awaiting decision. Has this happened to anyone else?

does anyone know if theres a official date for acceptance letters and when we have to say yes or no?

No, I don't there is an official date for acceptance letters to be sent out but you usually have until April 15th I believe to accept an offer. Midwestern has rolling admissions so they will be sending out acceptances and rejections periodically. Have you received updates to your application yet?

Oh that makes sense! No I think you'll be okay, the national deadline to accept is April 15th. I think it's only different if you are applying to a college with multiple intakes per year (e.g., LMU).
 
Waitlisted for interview today. I’ll take it as a slight positive as last cycle I applied I was flat out rejected. It’s not over till it’s over!

Submitted 9/6, still awaiting decision. I am a very non-traditional applicant with a few outstanding prerequisites and the suspense is killing me. So glad I'm not the only one refreshing the applicant page like crazy!
 
I applied 9/5 and my app is still under review. Not waitlisted or offered an interview idk if that’s bad or not 😭

I believe that “under review” means that admissions hasn’t made it to your application yet, so it doesn’t mean anything either bad or good. A few schools have mentioned getting a record high number of applicants this year, so I’m afraid that we might all be in for a wait while they process all of them 😅 I’m doing interview prep while I wait so that I at least feel like I’m accomplishing something. Hopefully, we all get good news before too long! In the meantime, I know we’ve all put in a lot of effort just to get to the point where we’re qualified to apply, and (even though we’re all aiming to do more still) that’s an achievement to be proud of!

This!! I agree and I feel like I needed to hear that today!
 
I didn't receive an application update BUT my portal was updated.
Previously it stated that I only had two letters of recommendations available and when I reached out to them, they confirmed that they received all three of my letters - yet only showed two letters on my portal. Now it shows all three of my letters. Does this mean anything?

Same thing happened to me
 
I wonder if it means anything or if it was just a glitch having 2 letters of recommendation on the portal?

This was the email I got. The portal now just has the interview dates/times to choose from listed above where it says “awaiting decision”.

I have 3 LORs on mine. Also for future people who are concerned over interview invites, you get a direct email so don't worry about having to check your portal every day. I submitted my VMCAs Sept 6th also for reference (Cumm GPA: 3.7, Last 45 3.92)
 
To those who received an interview tonight, did you receive an email or was in just because you checked your portal?
