I’m on my lunch break rn and I stg my hands have been over my pocket feeling for a call all day LOL I told our head tech (our manager) that if I see a 662 number I’m running to take it LMFAO and she said girl you better!!! Very anxiously waiting to see what they have to say. I’m cautiously hopeful!
 
Got my OOS acceptance call at 11:26am CST! My phone blocked them as spam so they left a voicemail and I had to call back haha. They said that we will receive an email on Friday with more information! So refreshing after a string of rejections recently! Crossing my fingers for the rest of you SDN friends 🙂

I’m telling myself I have until 6 pm est before I start getting upset since I think they close 5 pm ct!
 
Just called back- OOS acceptance! I asked and they’re still making their way for calls and haven’t finalized acceptance letters so don’t give up too soon on hearing back from them. I’m a little out of it because I got my wisdom teeth pulled (lol) but I think they said that we should be able to see changes on our portal and get things finalized in the next several days

Well, I've still not received a call, but since it's done and I want to head off any other group chats, here is the link to the discord I created! I'm still learning so it's probably not perfect, but hopefully it serves its purpose well! If y'all know anyone else who is accepted that's not on SDN, feel free to send the link to them as well. As emails come out (on Friday it sounds like) I'll probably create a waitlisted role as well 🙂

Side note: if anyone else is familiar with discord and wants to become a mod to help me out, feel free to dm me on here or on discord!

I kinda agree tbh. I’d honestly want them to not call until they can knock em all out in 1 day. Could recruit some professors n other faculty for a day and give em a script template to congratulate everyone n all that yknow?

agreed! either that or send out rejections and waitlists first so people know not to expect a call then start the congratulatory calling

Couldn’t post the picture but I copied and pasted what they said to me last year. I was IS waitlist.

We thank you again for your application and interest in the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. You have been named an alternate for a Mississippi resident position for the Class of 2028.
To give you a better understanding of the process moving forward, there are currently 19 alternates within the Mississippi resident pool. You are alternate number (your number). Remember that invited students have until April 15th to accept or decline their position. Therefore, you may not hear from us until after that time as most applicants will wait until that time to make their decision. Given the pool you are in, the alternate list may move quicker as other applicants receive offers from other schools and make their decisions. We will provide updates each month to let you know how far le have gone on our alternate list. Unfortunately, we vill not be able to provide you with much more formation than this due to the high volume of emails ind calls that our office receives during this time.

I think so since someone posted in the forum saying that they said "they’re still making their way for calls and haven’t finalized acceptance letters" so it seems like maybe they stopped calling in the late afternoon to review more files and prepare for calls tomorrow (im probably delusional by this point)

I don't think that's delusional at all. I definitely think at the rate they are making calls - they likely didn't finish today. There is literally only one person doing it and they not only have to make calls but return the ones that were originally missed. Plus whatever other responsibilities they may have in their position. It's easier said than done, but I wouldn't give up just yet.

thank you thank you, im trying to tell myself its not over till emails go out but as you said, easier said than done. hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for many of us on this forum!
 
4th year veterinary student at MSU! I saw that they started calling (please don't ask me anything about that. I know nothing. I am very uninvolved in that). Just wanted to pop in here to address housing. 4th years are currently putting their places up for sale or looking for subleases on our MSSTATE Buy Sell Trade FB page. I encourage anyone who has accepted a seat to look there for housing. I am also a horse owner, and a few of us are now moving away with our horses, so if someone is looking for board, feel free to privately message me! The farm we board at is mostly vet students and is not advertised. Congrats guys!
 
Anybody hear anything yet i know its only 9 am there but not sure if theyre getting an early start😅
