Thank you so much. Hope to hear from Harvard UNC and Emory soon.
Does anyone know when these schools have historically gotten back to applicants?

Harvard will give out acceptances/rejections beginning in February.Does anyone know when these schools have historically gotten back to applicants?
I would email if you are not confident that this is commonly known information. Personally, I had no idea MBA programs graded in such a way. If you're applying to programs that recruit a lot of MBAs, they may be used to this, but I would err on the side of caution and email an explanation. You could even attach a transcript that shows your actual performance to be super safe.My application was just verified by SOPHAS. I have MBA from top-15 school. Because MBA programs have weird grades (excellent, good, pass etc) SOPHAS reported the GPA as 0.0. Should I email the admissions offices to explain this or at least say if they have questions I'm happy to answer?
I got a 4.0 GPA for the three grad-level Public Health classes (intro, epi, biostats) I was taking at a local university last semester. I ended up withdrawing from a fourth class in the second week because it was just going to be too much to balance with my full time job, but it was already past the drop/add deadline (wtf?!) so I ended up with a "W" on the transcript. 🙁
Should i reach out to see if programs want these grades? Will it even be beneficial, or is it going to be more hassle than it's probably worth? Is that W going to reflect poorly on me, or do the A's balance it out?
I was accepted in October and there are a few others that were accepted in November and DecemberHas anyone been accepted into Johns Hopkins school-wide MPH program?
I am a current Yale EMD student. CDE and EMD are separate, so I highly recommend going to the YSPH website and looking at the "Curriculum" and "Sample Two Year Plan" tabs for each department as they will each have a different set of required courses. You can see which courses interest you more. From my experience so far in EMD, you gain a scientific background in microbiology as well as epidemiology. Each program has free electives that you can use to take classes outside of your department, and you are welcome to do research outside of your department as well. The core curriculum is the same between departments and many epi specific classes are meant for both EMD and CDE students. The departments are separate but you will have opportunities to do work in both. If you are truly interested in very broad epi where you have fewer department specific required courses, Yale might not be the best choice for you. I chose Yale because I came from a microbiology background and wanted an infectious disease focused program. Hopefully, looking at the required courses will help you make a decision! This may seem weird but I'm still having a really hard time hitting submit at Yale. I'm interested broadly in epidemiology and I just don't see how they're expecting students to study either Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases *or* Chronic Disease Epidemiology, since these seems to intertwined (ex: HIV is a virus but AIDS is a chronic disease). I'm also looking into their Biostatistics MPH program but don't know much about it or how much I'll be allowed to focus on Epidemiology and spatial stats. Any input would be helpful!
do you know if that's just merit aid? FAFSA stuff hasn't happened yet right? In at NYU for Global Health with a 40k scholarship!!
It's just merit, I received the same one!do you know if that's just merit aid? FAFSA stuff hasn't happened yet right?
Did anybody apply to the USC MPH program? Has anybody heard back anything yet?
Is anyone still waiting on a department from USF? I got my acceptance for their Epi program back in November and am still waiting for Global Health.
I'm so anxious! I emailed them and they said it takes 4-6 weeks to hear back after the app is complete after the deadline.I applied, but haven’t heard anything!
Yes. I got the acceptance mail towards the end of December. Still doubtful whether I’ll go or not.Has anyone been accepted into Johns Hopkins school-wide MPH program?
I did last year when I applied because my fall grades raised my overall GPA and included relevant coursework. In my opinion, if this semester benefited you, it can’t hurt to send them. I emailed admissions with a copy of my unofficial transcript (since I had to pay my university for each official transcript I sent) and said that I wanted to update them with my academics after the semester. Most schools needed an official transcript if I wanted it to be considered, so I sent those, but Columbia accepted the unofficial and added it to my file. Although I am unsure if this made a difference, I was accepted to all of the schools I applied to, so I don’t see it as a negative. For students still in college, is anyone sending their Fall 2017 transcripts to the schools they applied to?
Congratulations! I submitted my application in late November.I was accepted in October and there are a few others that were accepted in November and December
Congrats!!!I was also accepted last week and seriously considering to join. What are your thoughts about the program??Accepted to the Brown School at WUSTL with 45K scholarship!! I submitted my application on 11/22, was verified on 12/1 and accepted on 1/3.
Does anyone have any insight on the UC Berkeley fee waiver? Does it negatively affect my application or stop it from being reviewed if I don't pay? The deadline to submit it is in March and I need my 2017 tax return, which I haven't even filed yet.
Thanks! I'll do the same.I got an email yesterday from UC Berkeley (telling me they want 2017 tax return, not 2016). I haven't received my 2017 tax return and I don't know when I'm getting it so I just sent them my FAFSA SAR.
Yes, I got accepted on December 15thHas anyone been accepted into Johns Hopkins school-wide MPH program?
Yes, I got accepted on December 15th
Anyone hear from JHU MSc programs yet (or any non-MPH programs)?
It's been 5 for me (since the email...I submitted in October) so that's good to knowI emailed Emory (as it’s been six weeks for me) and she said they are releasing decisions “shortly”.![]()
I submitted my SOPHAS application late October and it got verified three days later. They review applications on a rolling basis; I went on a tour of the school the day I happened to get accepted and the administrative assistant who was giving the tour said that they release decisions typically around 4-8 weeks after the admissions office has received your application. When did you apply?
For those who have gotten into Emory so far, did you get accepted into your first choice program or your second/third choice preference? When you got accepted, did they send you a admission decision link or did you have to continually check your OPUS?
Which MSPH program did you apply to? Thanks!I had heard back from their MSPH program roughly 3 weeks after I applied! I think it's rolling admissions?
Which MSPH program did you apply to? Thanks!
Nice! I applied for Health Education and Health Communication. Congratulations on your acceptance!Population, Family and Reproductive Health!
