I am most worried about my GPA (physics and chem were rough lol-but still had an upward trend in those courses)-I have had an upward trend and have had above a 3.5 the last two semesters. Columbia is a reach for sure but it is my dream program and I am hoping for a miracle.

Just accepted to Yale for Epi Microbial, i’m crying because this is my top choice school...i have 5 schools who have gotten back to me and i feel eternally grateful

Congrats!!!! Awesome achievement!

Hey all, are there others that applied to Hopkins before or on the priority deadline date (12/1) and are still waiting? Figured based on the previous year's timelines that I would have heard back by now, but I am sure I'm not the only one. For those that did hear back, when did you submit, and was it for the MSPH or MPH? Thanks!
submitted 11/28, MPH, waiting to hear back

From what I have seen on SD, its through email but I will let the folks who actually got the decision speak more 🙂

For anyone who applied to BU how long did it take to receive a decision after the “ you’re application is being forwarded for review” email
I submitted my application on October 22, was marked complete on January 6, and admitted on January 26. On January 6, I was told it’d be 5-6 weeks before I received a decision, so my wait was a lot shorter than I’d expected.

Got email saying I've been recommended for admissions at UCSD! (but a bit confused bc they said it's not absolutely final yet)

Congrats. That means you are accepted.

I have learned that at some public universities, the department selects their applicants. The university's admissions office approves it (just a procedure on their part).

still waiting here too! MPH went complete on 12/6 and MSPH went complete on 12/28. No words thereafter....

i'm also waiting on a decision from columbia sms with a certificate in social determinants of health. i was lurking on last year's thread and it does seem people were getting into sms even two weeks after the first acceptances were sent out, so let's not lose hope! we got this!!
Don't think Columbia has sent out too many admissions decisions for PopFam either. If you applied by the priority deadline, I'm sure you'll hear back in the next week or so! Still waiting too 🙂

Just received my first rejection email from Yale in Healthcare Management 🙁
Sorry to hear that, keep your head up. Do you mind me asking when you're application was complete? I also applied to the HCM program.

I submitted the day before Thanksgiving and haven't heard back either!

Quick question for y'all, what is your purpose for undertaking a MPH, what main things do you expect to learn during a MPH?
Looking at the profiles here, am curious why very few people have applied to U Washington?
I was wondering the same too!! UW is a great school, especially for public health and it’s top 10 just behind Columbia, Emory, and BU. My guess is that the east coast has historically been the leader in the public health field so there’s more students over there thus they apply to east coast schools.

I was interested in applying until I saw that they weren't on SOPHAS so I was too lazy to start a whole another application process lol

I completed all my applications at the same time back in October I think. Whenever it was that first week to submit.

Ohh!! That makes sense. It says two professors approved it!

is it weird that I still haven't heard back from emory? 🙁 I applied for epi on 1/5 and it was routed for review 1/8
I submitted in November and sent to review the same day as you. They just started sending out decisions so I wouldn't stress too much yet!

Does anyone know when Emory releases scholarship information? Or is it included with the admission letter?
It was not included in the admission letter. I remember reading somewhere that the FA information would be released in 3-4 weeks. I will put the source when I find it.

By the way, for those you got accepted into Emory, did you receive your "admission gift" yet?
