MPH / MSPH 2021: Applied, Accepted, Waitlisted, Rejected, Attending

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
update with Brown financial aid - I emailed them and sadly confirmed that if there is no aid in your offer later, then you are not getting aid at all. sad that I got no money from GW or Brown (the most expensive school on my list) but there's another school to cross off I guess!

If someone has contacted Columbia admissions to ask a question, what email address or phone number did you use? I tried emailing [email protected] but the email came back undeliverable lmao. Kinda getting absurd at this point

that's the email I've used too! I think it does go through, there's just an automatic follow-up email.

Wow. I used the same: [email protected] (literally copied and pasted from my email in case I was missing something lol). I sent them an email on Tuesday this week.

for umich, if there’s no aid listed in your financial aid notice, does that mean you aren’t getting any scholarships either? I know scholarships come from your dept so I’m not sure if they just come separately from fin aid

Hmm, that's the email address I've used and gotten responses through. But I've also emailed [email protected] for financial aid questions so you could also try that and if it's not a fin aid question they might reroute it for you?

Huh. It might be a problem with my email then somehow. Thanks for the info

Did they reply?
They did! I asked about an update on my application and they said this if it helps: "Thank you for your email. Your application is complete and currently under review. Decisions are sent out on a rolling basis as applications complete the review process. As soon as a decision is made by the committee, you will be sent an email notification prompting you to view it. We appreciate your patience!"

I got notified of a scholarship package in an email from admissions--it was a few days after the acceptance email and I still haven't heard from fin aid. hope that helps

For those that have been accepted to GW, have you heard back for any scholarships? When were you accepted vs when did you hear about scholarships?
Accepted 2/8 and heard back today regarding my scholarship! seems like quite a few people heard back this week

I noticed a lot of us have been having trouble finding harvard financial aid packages. They're released simultaneously along with our admission decisions. Once you open your decision letter in the my.harvard portal (ON DESKTOP not phone), you'll be prompted to update your portal by logging out. When you do, your portal will look like this and you can click on the "view financial aid communication" button.

Hope this helps!

Bit of a non-sequitur, but "Harvard-Chan" got a good laugh out of me this morning

If Berkeley doesnt give me financial aid...

I too would like to know 😅

Emory just sent another invitation to one of their 5 million sessions. This time it was for a first generation student funding webinar for March 3... ”We will cover reading your financial aid award, determining total cost of attendance, loans and borrowing.” Could this mean we’ll know about aid by then 🤔

i feel like i am the only one waiting for berkeley epi lol i’m still waiting for emory and ucla too but for me the only real contender against columbia is berkeley
I got accepted to Columbia and I'm waiting for Berkeley as well. May I ask what you do you like about these two programs? 🙂

I received a scholarship and I didn’t have it listed on my financial aid notice.

Has anyone received a decision from Columbia HPM today? 😕

I reached out to Columbia at this email: [email protected] and got this message:

"Thank you for your email. Please make sure that you have contacted [email protected]. Do NOT reach out to [email protected] as some emails do not go through. As we continue to receive high volumes of emails, please allow approximately 3-5 business days for a reply."

then I reached out to [email protected] and they replied in 2 mins with this:

"Thank you for your email. Your application is currently under review. Decisions are sent out on a rolling basis as applications complete the review process. As soon as a decision is made by the committee, you will be sent an email notification prompting you to view it. We appreciate your patience!"

I applied on 12/1 and went into review 12/23 so let's see -_-

Didn't they originally say we would have a decision by March 1? So much for that. That's why I have been too scared to email lol, I don't want to hear the same
