multiple ohio state emails

since yesterday i've gotten 3 emails from ohio state titled "Ohio State FAQs" telling me to check my status online and that theres faq posted there. my status hasn't changed tho and i've been complete since august.


did ne1 else receive this???

I don't know about that. I'd say more likely an imminent interview invite, seeing as how I didn't get the email.

Or it could just be OSUMC's servers. As the wife of a former OSU sysadmin and friend of many other OSU sysadmins, I wouldn't sweat the not being able to log in thing much. Servers aren't perfect, especially OSU's.

FWIW, I could log in. Not that there was anything new there for me to see...

i hate to be the bearer of any bad news but i submitted my ohio state application on 9/19, never got a complete email, and got an interview on 9/28. i just got 1 email telling me to check my status and it said 'interview invite'. my interview is scheduled for 11/14.

I am able to log in in now. Well, I didn't get those three e-mails, so I'm not sure what is really worse, getting the e-mails, or not getting the e-mails. Hopefully we'll find out soon.

OSU sends out a "Status Change" e-mail whenever they do something. It's kind of annoying, because you have no clue what change they made.

the last line, "we look forward to reviewing your application materials" suggests maybe they haven't even looked at our apps yet? I didn't think it seemed like a rejection on the way. *knocks on wood*

same with me...is this their version of a "complete" email? because all of my stuff has been in, and my status has been the same since the end of june...i don't get it.

i just called, the lady was very nice and said that a bunch of people have been calling, and that it was pretty much a glitch in their system--a computer froze in the middle of sending just ONE Update email to everyone and everyone got 3 (or 2, in my case).

that doesn't explain the update. why was there even one update e-mail in the first place?

she said they wanted to just send some information our way -- the link to the FAQ page because i guess it's been updated or something...i'm not really sure, but she made it sound as though we WERE supposed to get some sort of update email

I just went on there and I don't even see a FAQ page. What are they talking about?

Did your e-mail say that you should make sure to update your contact info? Mine was mostly about that.

Did anybody get snail mail from OSU about two weeks after being complete saying...

"We are considering you for admission... If you wish to apply for instate tuition, please notify us...."

That was the last piece of information I heard from them...

Yea, I got 3 emails and was unable to log in on the page that the "FAQ" email sent me to. Kept getting weird error messages. But I could log in using the link from the original secondary email that I got from them. The FAQ is kind of hidden. You have to look for it a bit.
